If there's an escape room nearby considered it booked! We narrowly escaped Cabin 11 with 1minute & 31 seconds left, & this was with hints. We were a group of 3 maximizing our trek to the Peninsula. Even though I prefer staying on the south side, I quite favor this location over the VB one. Our game master, Akira was energetic, enthusiastic and very patient with us from greeting us in the lobby through the end of the game.A walkie-talkie is your communication device. We had some oversights & for those who struggle with presbyopia & small print it can also add to the challenges. Haha funny but not funny, just wait.Just make sure to have several people in your group double check the code when plugging in your answers. We usually do that, but for some reason, we managed to still do that & not open the lock & actually have the correct answer, thus eating up some of our time. Per our game master, Cabin 11 is considered the most difficult of the current three rooms. My only recommendation is to follow up with replacement of dried up markers. Ours died on us. But fortunately, the group was able to power through ;-) Not a biggie. Overall we had a good time, but we didn't truly feel as if it was a well merited escape. :-P

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. PLEASE!!! So.... it seems everyone found this escape room by Groupon. There are other local ones that blow this place out of the water. If you Check in on Yelp you get a sticker. It is in Peninsula Town Center... by Five Guys... in a little breeze through... there is a door for a building I think the Chamberlin?? BUT you have to go in there and go to the 2nd floor... there was not sign telling you to go in there. We drove around waiting to see a business sign. We finally called and after MUCH confusion they said they were in that building. The place smelled very musty, dusty, and dirty. The bathroom smelled like someone just poured an ash tray in the trash. It was a very strong cigarette smell. The place was not welcoming or inviting. When we walked in we kind of stood there waiting since no one was there and then finally a staff member came out.The Gamemaster was so rude. She said you are only supposed to get 3 hints but she does not keep count, just don't ask her every 5 minutes... she said that like 3 times. It was very odd because they said there were two cameras in the room so that they could see us and that there was a walkie-talkie to use to ask if we needed a clue.We asked if we could have a clue but it took a while for the Gamemaster to reply. Obviously she was not watching the cameras because she was asking what we had done so far, what box we had left, asking had we opened this or that. So she obviously had no idea where we were at.The room was so dusty it was disgusting. We could tell where you never needed to look because there was piles of dust. We looked under things and the other friend accidentally put their hand under the bed and it was covered in dust.I'm really disappointed because we were super excited about going here and the whole thing just turned out terrible and I would never recommend it to anyone. This was our second time at an escape room. We went to a previous place, the game master was so nice there, they could see you, they could hear you, and you just said can I have a clue, you did not use a walkie-talkie. I guess that is just outdated? Finally when we Escape the Room the girl wrote A Time on the board but that was not the correct time, the point of the escape room I feel like is that it's so exciting that it gets down to minutes and seconds before you're able to escape. She just wrote the minutes on there and I said what about the seconds? I did make her change it. We worked hard to get out. When we did find the hidden item in the room we just open the door and kind of stood there until a worker saw us. They said okay well I guess you are done. If you want to take a picture you can but you don't need to. We decided to take a picture but we couldn't send it to ourselves or anything and she didn't offer to take one on our phone. Another place I went when they took the photo, you were able to get it sent to you which was pretty awesome so all in all please do not go here. Do not waste your time.

My husband and I enjoyed a super fun date starting at the Escape Room Virginia Peninsula! Neither of us had ever done an escape room before but we received a Groupon to this location for Christmas and checked it out in April. It's located on the second floor of a building in the Peninsula Town Center near Jimmy Johns. There were plenty of signs in and outside the building letting us know where to go. There was also plenty of parking nearby on the street, as well as a couple of parking lots that wouldn't be a long walk away. Someone greeted us when we arrived, took us to the room we had reserved online, and gave instructions. After asking if we had any questions, she started our hour and left the room. The instructions were clear and we were told we could ask for unlimited hints using a walkie talkie. We chose The Great Estate Mystery. We had a blast finding clues and working our way to solving the mystery, which we were able to do with 2-3 hints and only a few seconds remaining. We both really enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely do it again- in one of the other themed-rooms!

This is not my first time doing an escape room! The place was hard to find. I had to call and ask where they were located and they did not even know near by places. Finally found them. It is within a building on the second floor. There is a bell that goes off to let them know someone has entered and they come from the back area. The place smelled musty and like cigarettes! There was confusion in the being about who was all going in the rooms and we started late. Glad I did not bring a date here. To ask for clues you have to use a walkie talkie and they do not know where you are during the one hour even though there are cameras watching. Very unprofessional! I will not come to back to this location.

Business is located in Peninsula Town Center. My friends and I had a great and fun experience. We chose the theme of Greta's Diner which is one of the easier ones. You get 60 minutes to figure out clues. We were able to get out in 41 minutes. Great team building activity. You definitely have to work together to get out of the room. The staff was nice and answered all questions. I will definitely return to try another themed room.

A lot, receptionist had no customer service skills, failed to inform me that they had a no refund policy. She was wishy washy with how many people could go in an escape room at once, so we thought it would be fine. We come back and they tell us hard no and no refund. They also had not told me how much it would cost when they initially charged my card (I'm probably should've asked) but that was the worst $121 I've ever spent. DO NOT GO HERE!

Awful experience here, had a group of 9, tried to call ahead and no one answered. Got there and they said only one room was available that said it fit 8 people and they told us they could only do 6. Supposedly was $25 per person. Paid for 2 people and was charged $121. Then was denied a refund even when we did not use the room. When asked if we could get a refund the lady there laughed at us. Would definitely rate 0 stars if I could

Worst experience in a business I've ever seen. Robbed out of $125 and didn't even get to do the escape room. Online it advertises for large groups but when we walked in and booked they told us only 6 ppl were allowed in. This was after a group of nine of us have already arrived. There was no compensation, no apology for charging us even tho we did NOT even get to do the escape room. I will gladly be slamming this company to everyone I know. I've never even written a review on yelp before but the experience was so awful I had to share so this didn't happen to anyone else. I'd give a zero stars if I could

Jaidyn was amazing! She brought such fun and mysterious energy to our first escape room in Virginia. We loved getting back our recipe from Greta's Diner!
