Great prices, great quality, nice people. Although they do cut to order, you can't get ALL cuts (ie, no flank steak, no tri tip). They have several prepared foods that are fresh & tasty as well ( sides, salads, boiled shrimp, others) . In-house pork rinds are delicious!

Yelp 100 Challenge - Review #92This family owned butcher shop is located near the Sonic, Dollar General and Jackpot bingo. My sister comes her all the time to get their delicious chicken salad and cole slaw. You pretty much get everything that you buy at you local supermarket at Elias'. They have chicken, pork, bacon fish, anything you could possibly think of for meat they have it .

I seriously cannot say enough good things about this place!! I'm from Texas and never thought I would find better meat in North Carolina than I would in Texas. The steaks are to die for. But even better is all the variety this place has! They have steaks, chicken, pork, seafood, and more. It's really a one stop shop!! In addition to the meats, I love all the prepared sides--from scalloped potatoes to sweet potato casserole--they are all simply amazing and so easy to prepare. The chicken salad is also to die for and makes for a great snack or sandwich. If you live in the Roanoke Rapids / Rocky Mount, or surrounding area, frequent Lake Gaston, or are traveling on I-95, then you should make Elias Butcher Shoppe a priority stop. I don't leave Yelp reviews often, but I feel like I had to after such an incredible experience.

Great prices, right selection meat, friendly help, will cut meat to order will let you order ahead of time and pick up later. thumbs up all the way, highly recommended. They have fish, beef, chicken, pork, bacon anything you could possibly think of for meat shop they have it . They have vegetables canned goods, sauces, wines, cold cuts ,sausages and more. They sell whole hogs. If you want to meat done right that's where you need to go. take it from the locals

This market is the best kept secret in the Northeastern Carolinas. They have the most friendly and courteous staff and the food is second to none. I especially travel from Maryland when I go home for the breakfast sausage links, the souse and the sliced cakes. Go to this store!!!
