El Paraiso

When I walked in, I was famished and eager to try out the menu. What initially concerned me was the lack of pricing on the menu items. This failed to prepare me for the shockingly expensive bill. A soup, 3 tacos and a burrito for $50?! I brushed it off, thinking the quality would make up for it. After receiving our meal well after other patrons who arrived after us, we dug in.I was horribly disappointed. Especially for the price. There was a lack of flavor and the food was horribly dry. I don't think I will be returning

I was craving for Pupusas and haven't had it in like a year. Decided to bring my Brit friend and her hubby cause she's never had a pupusa before. Their Pupusas were great especially the one with Jalapeño! and surprisingly, my friend ended up liking it. It's good to have open-minded friends who are down to earth. Also, the servers barely spoke English, but they were friendly. Will definitely come back again for their tacos.

This was hands down the best fajitas I've had. I placed an order for a few things- fajitas, platanos, and papusas. I was disappointed because although I paid for the papusa, it wasn't in my bag when I got home. That really sucked, but based on the flavor of everything that remembered to pack, it probably would have been good. Usually when I pay for something and they forget to give it to me, I get really pissed... but this was so good that I can't even be mad at them. I will point it out though the next time I go.

Not familiar with the area, so I wanted beef stew. I Google restaurants near me and this is one of the choices nearby. El Paraiso, authentic mexican restaurant is what I choose. This place is part restaurant, part grocery store. The aroma of fresh food makes your mouth water. I ordered shrimp Quesadillas. AMAZING. My friend ordered steak fajitas.

Cute little hut. You won't regret trying their food. I love their tacos!!! They also have their own little Spanish mini market next door. Everything in there is also cheap compared to other places around Richmond. Great food and even better when the prices are low!

Good Mexican food. Hole in the wall. All the staff speak Spanish and menus are in Spanish. Luckily two of our friends spoke decent Spanish to help us out. We got 3 platters and 2 pupusas for about 30 dollars. Food was good but not spectacular but fills you up and is satisfying. I had the chicken enchiladas verde with beans and rice.

this little restaurant was amazing. the sweetest cashier helped us out while ordering. the birria tacos were a 10/10! we enjoyed everything else as well. so yummy will definitely be eating here again.

Pupusas are really good here and service is always on point!!.. I always get the pupusas revueltas and they are delicious. Pricing is not too bad.

I had the grilled chicken salad. Food was excellent. Great service. I would absolutely go back!

There's a reason why there's no prices on the menu. A rather small burrito with no bells and whistles was $11. And for some reason the cashier wrote "Americano" on the ticket. The food was great.
