I just do not know what to say. It did not start out the best when we arrived. It just seemed to continue from there. I arrived with my mother in law, and our two kiddos 13 & 8. But, there was a sign on the door stating kids under 26 were not allowed. We did not see the sign upon entering. So the employee told us. So I placed my kiddos in the car... AC was on, doors locked. With that being said I was a little offended they were not allowed inside. They are well behaved. When we asked why, the employee said she was just following what her boss/owner said. As I walked around the store they do have ALOT of things to offer in the world of cross stitching. So if that's your passion this is a good place. The employee was helpful throughout. She was nice. But, signs throughout asking not to touch the displays, were kinda off putting too. In the end it's a good store for supplies, and patterns. Just do not come with kiddos.

This shop has been on my bucket list for about 8 years. Last week I was in Williamsburg for the Christmas at Williamsburg stitching retreat and was lucky enough that my local girlfriend picked me up for the trip to this shop. Another 2 hr round trip from where I was. AND SO WORTH EVERY SINGLE MILE!!!! I met Ann & Pat while there, and they were both so lovely to chat with and my endless questions of where's this, where's that. I've been fortunate enough this past year to be part of one of their stitching clubs and thought that's as close as I'd get. I would def drive completely out of my way to get to this shop again. Lordy the models EVERYWHERE, endless wall, ok it DOES end, but it's HUGE, of fibers. And their very own delightfully beautiful R&R fabrics. Sigh. I'm home now, sorting my treasures and remembering a great visit

I've visited many of cross stitch stores, and nothing compares to this place. The variety, deals, customer service, and rewards punch cards are unmatched and I love that it's here! The women are always willing to help and chat, and have a great memory of their customers! I thoroughly enjoy seeing their new work posted up on the walls too. An overall VERY enjoyable experience

This is shop is the home of R & R Reproductions. So if you love cross stitched samplers this is the place for you. The models are amazing and this large shop is filled with them. I believe they are all stitched by the owners of the shop. When I visited this well stocked cross stitch shop both owners were there. I found a few shop exclusive Blackbird Design pieces from their retreats which I just had to buy. It was a nice shopping experience and when in the area this LNS shop is well worth a visit.

Who am I, a well-respected needle worker that is a part of stitch groups in TX, OH and CA. An awarded ribbon holder for my needlework entered at the TX State Fair. Recently I moved to VB and was so excited to have the opportunity to become a part of the Dyeing to Stitch community. Over the last couple months I was in the store shopping. They did explain to me their stitch groups meet on Thursday nights. D2S does have a small shop and they do have limited space. It was recommended I call on Thursday afternoons to see if there were openings that evening. After many failed attempts to be a part of Thursdays group I pretty much gave up. There is no room at the inn, I get it. What I did notice though is I saw a few ladies stitching on Saturdays. I was under the impression that it was open stitching on Saturdays. How here is where my story really begins:It's a Saturday and I thought I would shop at D2S, spend about $$$ worth of product I needed and stitch with the group there. When I walked in there was a group of ladies at the table with open seating. I with a big smile asked if the seat was taken I wanted to join them to stitch today. A woman at the table says to me, "You cannot just waltz in and think you can stitch here! You have to call and make an appointment!" At first I thought she was joking and I quickly could tell by the look on her face she was not. I then said to her, "I thought that was just Thursdays". She said, "YOU HAVE TO CALL." I really did not know what to say. I walked to the back of the store and thought I needed to get out of here. So I walked out, not saying another word. I was in shock. No other shop, across the years has ever treated me this way. At this point, I was so angry and upset that I was shaking. Ten minutes later I called D2S and spoke to an employee and told her how upset I was and that I would no longer be doing business at their shop. I told the women I called her because I respected them not to make a big deal out of this in their store. The women asked me if I wanted to speak to the owner. I told her yes, and then I was told the owner was with a customer. That she would call me back. I am not waiting for a call I will not receive. I have called all my stitch groups and told them about my experience and now I am telling you. I WILL NOT ATTEND A RETREAT, BUY A PIECE OF FABRIC OR SPEND ANOTHER DIME AT D2S.

I popped into this charming store on Tuesday May 30th for the first time. The ladies in the shop were friendly and very helpful. I felt completely at ease and was encouraged to pick back up cross stitching that I had not done in years. I left with a pattern and cloth and am looking forward to getting started. I will definately be back.

The first time I visited this shop was during the aftermath of covid. I was told I couldn't enter without a mask. Ok. No problem. Rude, but that was how some people were at that time. Visited again this past week. I needed a shade of tapestry wool for a crewel project which I was vigorously told they do NOT carry! This is a cross stitch store exclusively, and the attitude of all in the shop was again quite condescending and cold. Usually needle enthusiasts are so warm and friendly! Not here. Very cold. An amazing selection of beautiful floss. Ordinarily I would love to shop here for my surface embroidery projects. Sad really. I would rather shop at Michaels (ugh) that return to Dyeing to Stitch.

This place is just a mess! The owner is just obnoxious. Phone calls aren't returned, items never arrive. The shop is sloppy.

We traveled from 90 miles to visit this location, after checking online and seeing it was open. We attempted to call multiple times and left a couple of messages, two days in a row, and never received a return call. When we showed up, we were told the store was not opened and turned away. The person who turned us away was extremely rude! We will NEVER shop at this store, nor, recommend it to anyone else!!! I can understand not being open, however, at least return a call, or not be rude or hateful to customers.

I stopped in to shop for a cross stitch pattern to keep me busy while I was recouping from knee replacement surgery. It took me 2 months to finish while I was home bound. It looks great! One of the women helped me get started since it was my first pattern. Friendly people and just a wonderful shop to browse in. Will be back to get my 2nd pattern to work on.
