Duck's General Store

Absolutely love this little section of Duck. The general store has a little bit of everything, and then walking along the boardwalk there's plenty of selection lovely people, very dog friendly, quite affordable, and gorgeous views of the sound. Just a little bit of peace and zen.

Stopped into this store while visiting and so glad we did. Really cute merchandise and quality products and really great staff!! The ladies were so kind and welcoming. They loved on our dog and gave him some treats. We really enjoyed looking around and chatting with them. Will definitely be back during our next visit.

We came across Duck's General Store while dining in the area. They were closed for the season and had some items of interest in their window. I emailed them, expressing my interest in a few items. While I didn't expect a response until they were open, Fran invited me to stop by anyway (we had already departed the OBX). She was kind enough to process our order and ship it safely and securely to us. Again, all before they opened for the season! We were so very pleased with our purchases and the kind service. This continued today when Fran realized that they had charged us twice for our order, something I hadn't realized. She had issued a refund as soon as she learned about this and emailed me the receipt. Again, what an exceptional level of Customer service. We look forward to visiting Duck again and visiting with the good folks at Duck General Store in person!

Located at the one end of the Boardwalk sits Duck's General Store. This place is really only a general store in name as it does not offer what one would assume would be in a general store. Instead you got everything souvenir wise stocked inside here.Even though it is more of a souvenir shop doesn't deter the fact that this place is stocked full of stuff. Most items are common throughout the are, but there are definitely some specially unique items that you cannot find elsewhere while in this area.Staff are upbeat here and very knowledgeable of the area.

Duck's General Store is a fun little shop at the end of Waterfront Shops boardwalk. This store features all kinds of interesting items: handcarved artisan creations, jewelry, gag gifts, and silly kids stuff.The prices are a little steep, but there is so much packed from floor to ceiling in this little place, that you'll no doubt find the perfect gift for a friend or loved one... and end up spending quite a bit of time browsing everything there is to offer!The staff are friendly and helpful. The deck in front of the store is covered - a bit of a relief from pounding sun or a bit of rain.Lovely shop - definitely don't want to miss this one!

This is one of the unique stores located in Duck Waterfront Shops right next to The Blue Point Restaurant. We stopped down about 10:30 this past weekend to walk around and found the shops didn't open until 11:00 am. It was so windy and cold we considered leaving and visiting later, but the owner saw us looking in the window and offered to let us come in and browse. Very nice. They carry a variety of items. T-shirts/hoodies, knick knacks, jewelry, gag gifts, funny books, artsy items, things for kids - tons of variety and this little store is packed. We got the cutest solar butterfly mobile for my aunt as a gift - she absolutely loves butterflies and this one was so unique as the butterflies were magnetic and you could place them as you would like. My husband found a Tervis thermal glass - Ohio State - since he's a fan he had to have it. I found the cutest pair of silver starfish earrings for less than $20. I found prices on most things to be quite reasonable - there were a few items I thought might be a touch high, but this is a shop geared towards tourists after all. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice shop - not to be missed if you visit Duck.

Found this little gem on a quiet off season weekend! Their entire store was 30% off or more! They have the cutest gifty type items. The staff was very friendly. We went twice during our week's visit to Corolla.

We stopped to look for a bucket for the beach and a sticker. We got both, nothing special about this place but it is convenient shopping with all the other shops in the area. Definitely paying tourist prices.

The folks are SO nice and accommodating...its a souvenir store but also has unique items -- they are always happy to answer questions about the area. They add to the excellent reputation of the 'best' storeowners on OBX. I recommend them to my friends and we always buy some of our gifts there each year. You'll love the vibe of this quaint shopping area and the benches and views on the Sound...Sweet.
