The Duck boardwalk has truly transformed since my last visit years and years ago. The boardwalk itself is nice, made of real wood and very beachy. It's lined with many types of businesses, clothing stores, beach souvenir shops, sit-down restaurants, and of course Duck Donuts. There's no limit on what you can do while on the boardwalk. The wildlife around is really cool to see - I saw three turtles perched on logs in just one short walk. The Ampitheater is clean and a fun place to enjoy shows hosted there. The boardwalk is a really great feature of the town that you have to take in when you're in OBX.

Beautiful boardwalk with good views. Is clean and well-maintained. Nice variety of shops. Benches every so often. Some shaded areas.

Waddle, waddle, waddle, quack, quack, quack pretty much sums up our sunset walk on the boardwalk after a filling meal and dessert of donuts (restaurant in easy walking distance to the boardwalk and donut shop ON the boardwalk.) There is free parking in the Duck town Park and a nice little playground for the kids too. Excellent spot for the family. The boardwalk is the place to take in the sunset at your leisure. There are benches to sit on, rails to lean upon and spots for the perfect sunset view. The boardwalk also connects to shops along the way if you are more inclined to retail therapy as oppose to nature therapy. Side note: The boardwalk is also excellent to run upon in the mornings. If you enjoy fishing, crabbing or kayaking this is the place for you too.

Wow! The town of Duck, NC is beautiful! This town has several small independently owned shops that showcase the most unique artsy items. Each store had something different to offer. The art was out of this world! One shop; I actually think I should write a separate review for her shop was such an awesome experience. It was an olive oil and balsamic store. We had the best conversation about our love for wine . Wine, oils how did we get to wine??? Lol! It was a beautiful day on the boardwalk! I found another great store where I caught an awesome sale on a few things--smiles. However, the best part of the day was at dusk, as the sun was setting. Majestic!!

When you visit the this town you should stop by the Boardwalk. The Boardwalk overlooks the Sound and all the natural beauty that it offers. According to the informational maps that are throughout the Boardwalk it'll take you roughly about fifteen minutes to walk from one end to the other. If you were like me and my family, it's going to take you longer than that. The Boardwalk doesn't just provide a good vantage point for viewing nature, it also connects several spots throughout the town that offer some great spots to dine and shop at. We took advantage of the shopping part and being able to park our car at one spot and not have to do the carhop constantly for our day. It made for a better experience and it didn't make us feel rushed throughout our day. Benches are dotted along the Boardwalk, small vending machines are there as well if you want to feed the wildlife that reside in the Sound. It's a great way to spend a day if you really don't have much else to do. You should honestly try it, you might end up finding some hidden treasure of an establishment along your way.

I sure love this part of town. If you visit you have to go here. Great views, great stops along the way like Duck Donuts or lots of fine eateries. Without public beach access in the town this is a great option and if tired of the beach for those with access this is a great way to get some Duck hospitality. We loved it and went to Happy Hour here, watched the sunset from it and in the morning stopped by again and visited Duck Donuts. This is a can't miss!
