This place used to be great for a reasonably priced, tasty food. We were severely disappointed on this last visit. We ordered for pick-up. The order was ready after our 10 min drive. Got home and the 2 egg rolls were cold, overcooked, and just seemed "Old". My wife's beef and broccoli was actually pork and also cold. My chicken fried rice seemed OK. Except by now I was leary of eating anymore of their food and just fed it all to the Raccoons. At least it was only $20

Food is good I ordered take out online. On the website there is a timer telling you when your order will be ready but it says ready at 4:30pm when I arrive at 4:30 there are no customers and the two ladies in the kitchen wait a few minutes before asking me what I want then start cooking my order !?I'll go back next time knowing what to expect time wise.

Probably the best Chinese takeout in Hopewell hands down. I enjoy their everything I order from them and never had an issue. The have a lunch buffet during the week. It sometimes get busy so there is little to no food available but if you have time, it'll be more out eventually. The food always taste fresh. My favorites are the General Tso Chicken, Bourbon chicken, egg rolls, friend chicken, beef and broccoli, pepper steak and onion, and their fried rice.At this point, this is the only Chinese takeout I trust in the Tri-Cities.

This has been my spot since about 2008. One of my favorite life memories is coming here one Sunday afternoon with my cousin, eating in the car followed by us taking nap right then and there.Since moving away, I always try to stop by Dragon Palace whenever I'm home. This time, to bring everything full-circle, fell on a Sunday. Dragon Palace is the place where I fell in love with Orange Chicken. I don't know if I have ever tried their General Tso's or the Sesame Chicken, my two back-up plans because I was always satisfied with what I ordered. So this was a going to be a stick-to-the-script type of night.I placed my order and decided to step outside and take in the brisk fall air and my surroundings. I couldn't remember which spot Willie's CDs, Records and Tapes used to occupy. That's where all my money went in 1998. Twenty years later, I bore witness to many empty parking spaces and felt my hunger gain strength. After waiting a little bit longer my food was ready and I was on my way. I used to like buying my food to-go because it would be piping hot when ordered, meaning they made it fresh. By the time I got home it was still hot so I began to dig in. I like how Dragon Palace fries their chicken on the hard side. I have been to many-a place with chewy chicken and I have come to despise it. The thing that was most striking for me was how sweet my Orange Chicken was. It may have been a couple of years since my last visit but it is apparent that my palate has shifted significantly in the past 10 years. A little bit of sweetness goes a long way with me now. It was a great trip down memory lane but I guess you really can't go home again.

Food was alright whenever they decided to bring it out. Most days all the trays were empty. Oh and I watched the guy scrape all the leftover buffet rice, bring in it the kitchen, and dump it in the pan with all the fresh rice.

Check your order before you leave! They have messed my order up on more than one occasion. The final straw was when they fixed me something other than garlic chicken that I had ordered and they put the same meal in another container but took out some of the vegetables thinking I wouldn't notice! It was apparent when I tasted it because there was absolutely no garlic sauce and it was a different sauce! I also noticed several times that they have a kid working taking orders and running the register but is clearly under age 12 and has a smart-a attitude. They have also left out items of my order such as eggrolls, fried wantons for the soup, etc so make sure you check before you leave. I've given them too many chances to get it right and I'm done.

They used to be a good place to get some good Chinese food. Over the last few years they have been going downhill. I ordered the general tso's chicken wings and fried rice. The rice tasted like it had been sitting around and it had no flavor. The wings were ok but they were coated in the sauce and all the rice stuck to the chicken. They should separate the chicken from the rice. I don't keep giving this place a chance but I think it's time to find a new Chinese takeout restaurant.

I am rating five stars for the taste and quality of the food it is truly divine. It is unfortunate that the building isn't ideal; however, the food makes up for that. We used to live in Hopewell but have moved to Richmond and the taste of their food has been irreplaceable thus far, so we drive all the way back to Hopewell just for their food. It would be amazing if they created a larger-scale buffet.
