Downtown Roots

I was excited to try Downtown Roots and it did not disappoint. From the moment you walked in the door you felt welcomed. I tried the Italian Stallion and I would like to eat this everyday. Warm buttery bread and an herb Mayo made a wonderful combination. Everything is fresh and servings are large

Super cute, newish spot in downtown edenton! The staff was super friendly and welcoming when you come in, and the food came out quick! The sandwhich is delicious and cooked to order, I got it without slaw and they adjusted without question. The buffalo has a slight kick, enough to enjoy. I do think the price is a little on the high side - $40 for two sandwiches drinks and chips but the quality is top tier and worth it to support new businesses in this growing town!

Got a grilled cheese for $12. Pretty good. Goat cheese, provolone and their special sauce. I wish there'd been a bit more sauce. Was a tad bit burnt.Very nice workers. Would go back and try something else.

Food is amazing. Staff is great! New, creative sandwiches and salads almost every week. Some say the items are expensive, but most every sandwich feeds two adults easily. Highly recommend.

Every sandwich on the menu is fantastic. Bring your appetite, because the sandwiches are large. The staff is friendly and helpful. Be sure to check out their specials on FB if you're ordering ahead.

Stopped for lunch and there was a (justified) line. Counter orders delivered to your table. Delicious sandwiches, wraps and salads. Bottle drinks. Not a burger joint. Not the same old thing. Very casual. Seating inside and out.

After walking all morning through Edenton, NC I stopped for the best sandwich ever at this little shop! Everyone working there was friendly and so polite! I sat outside and when my napkin blew to the ground and was soiled a young man came outside and replaced it for me. Fresh and delicious food!

Amazing sandwiches and salads. Perfect to eat in or take out. The sandwiches are huge... come hungry!
