This is our go to dog park! We have never had a bad experience. It is quite small so if you have a bigger dog or dog with lots of energy it may not be for you, but it is absolutely perfect for my pug & frenchie! There is a faucet & water bowl for your dog, toys, & dog waste bags for you to use. It's usually super clean too. Turf grass!! And the cutest location if you went to go out to eat or shopping afterwards

Great dog park!!! You can't find a cleaner place to take your dog for a little off leash time. With the turf grass, they never come out muddy, and the city does a great job of cleaning the place up. It's obviously not as large as some other dog parks, but it makes the best of the space given and it's so great that the city set this space aside for our pups!!!

I love the location of this park. My dogs love it here. My only complaint is some pet owners do not clean up after their dogs. The grass is not real so the waste stays there until someone else has to clean it up. Other than that it is a nice area for pets to play and socialize

My chihuahua, Mya, attended the grand opening of the Downtown Dog Walk last Friday. She had a blast getting neck rubs and attention from other humans. She scared away the big dogs to allow the little doggies time inside the fenced-in area. The Dog Walk was constructed between two buildings on Granby Street with views of Plaza Azteca and Buffalo Wild Wings. It was also conveniently located next to Muddy Paws. The artificial turf grass was a good choice as it could easily be rinsed with soap and water. It wouldn't get muddy or dug up by fellow doggies. There was ample seating for dog lovers, water fountains of two heights for dogs and rocks/plants for doggies to hike up their legs. The entrance/exit had two gates to prevent fur babies from escaping. The Dog Walk was appropriately named as it wasn't a ginormous space, but it was large enough to let plenty of doggies bask in off-leash playtime. Mya loved how dog-friendly downtown Norfolk was becoming, and looked forward to reigning as the Princess of Downtown Dog Walk!

So I have passed this park numerous times and thought it belonged to one of the buildings. Since I thought it was a private park I had never taken my puppy. I was searching for nearby dog parks and I came across this one and was so excited since it's just down the street from me. We decided to go early to avoid the heat since we have a 6 month old French Bulldog and heat is not her best friend. I love that she had the ability to run leash free. I also loved that it had a shady spot and that the benches were located on the shady side. It has water and plenty of poop bags. With all of that said I was disappointed at the rudeness of other pet parents. My husband and I picked up 2 large poop bags of poop. We had to clean it all up so that our puppy could enjoy her time without distractions. It also smells due to the poop being left behind and the urine. It could be because it had not been hosed down yet for the day. I really don't know to be honest. Also there are sections with small rocks so if your dog or puppy likes to put anything in their mouth you should know this. Overall our puppy had a great time and even met 2 other dogs. I can say their parents did pick up after them :)

Perfect size. I live right next too it and I couldn't be happier. Our dog loves to meet the other neighborhood dogs there hanging out.
