Dodd Rv

Well I know my previous review was a little close to this but I have to explain why. I purchased my unit prior to the interest rates getting all crazy. Drew and Jen were upfront with me regarding those interest rates and b/c of that, I bought the unit earlier than expected... however, I did save myself from 3 or 4 (rate hikes since then). However, b/c I bought it so much earlier than expected, I didn't have a place to put it. Dodd RV stored my unit for me and took care of it during the 'winter blast' and kept me in the loop of any needs, issues, and answered a barrage of questions I had (and still continue to have). Jen (Wiseman) is legit. She's the logistics and friendly smile that keeps customers coming back when issues arise. I can't imagine the in/out, fix this and that 'stuff' that she has to go through on the daily. I now have my Grand Design 265bh here at home and could not be happier with my purchase. Between the product service and quality on top of the regional support, I can confidently say I'm a "happy camper" (ha!).Oh yeah, and in several weeks there's a camper show in Virginia Beach hosted by.... We purchased our 2019 grand design reflection from Dodd RV in Portsmouth. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. Definitely a pleasant experience all together. I would highly recommend Dodd RV in Portsmouth to anyone.

Very helpful and honest salesman there. I didn't find what I was looking for but I received some very helpful information from Mr. Christian. Now I am honing in on what I want.

My wife and I had been looking at RV's for months, but nothing serious. We found Dodd RV while doing a search for different floorplans, and they had one that intrigued us. We went by just to look at it, and left after putting a deposit down. A week later, we finalized the paperwork and were pulling out of the lot with our new RV. Customer service from the beginning to the end was top notch. You could tell it was a family owned place, and they made us feel as though we were part of the family. When we arrived to finish the paperwork and pick up our RV, they had a congratulations note written on the chalkboard - and everyone knew who we were, and why we were there. They identified us as new RV owners, and worked with us for hours to make sure the first time we used it, we would enjoy it. We're customers for life!

Without a doubt best customer service I've gotten. I needed to replace two propane tanks and the mounting bracket and they gave me the whole rundown on installation etc and made sure I had everything I needed. Will definitely come back in the future.

Took RV in for roof replacement. Tree fell on roof. Interior exposed and 'down', also. Asked for exact material replacement. When they called to tell me it was completed, the interior was still showing, ducktwork, insulation, just a mess. Now that it's been a couple years, the roofing material is brittle, not the same material, not near as thick. Because they subbed the job out they figured it wasn't their responsibility to make sure it was done to their standards. Then again, maybe it was done to their standards. The lady actually tried to start the conversation that it had been fixed and that it must've fallen in when they moved it out of the bay on to the lot. Really?

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!This company is the most unprofessional group I have dealt with. They took days to respond to an online quote request, in the meantime we called and got a quoted price, which the next day the salesman called back stating his "GM" is mad and cannot honor the quote given. In the meantime, I received an email response from another salesman with a lower price. Jerked us around for days until we came to an agreed upon price. We discussed it being a 10 hour drive, needing details on the condition, were promised it was in IMMACULATE LIKE NEW condition. We took a day off work, spent 10 hours of driving, gas, tolls etc after being required to put a hefty down payment on the item. Immediately could see there was structural damage, the unit was filthy, seals were damaged, Interior and exterior damages that would cause water seepage and damage. The salesman and GM were extremely pushy and tried to get the paperwork done during the walk through. Then had the audacity to lie and state they did not know any of the issues with the condition when confronted. I would NEVER EVER buy anything from this company or let anyone I know deal with them. I'm still in shock.

I've been looking and carefully planning out my full-time rv purchase for weeks. After visiting all rv dealers in the Hampton Roads area, Dodd RV was unintentionally the last one I visited on my list. My first visit was an hour before they closed. Drew Doss (product specialist) welcomed me on the lot, carefully listened to me as I explained what I was looking to buy, and was extremely polite, helpful, and professional. Drew proved to be honest, very knowledgeable, and caring to ensure I knew all the information needed before making my big purchase. I left all other dealers still confused on exactly which rig to decide on. But after spending some time talking and learning from Drew Doss, I left Dodd RV excited and knowing exactly which rv best suits my needs. After leaving and doing some research I found that absolutely everything Drew had told was true. And the prices quoted were the fairest and lowest of all other dealers I had visited. For me, I'll only deal with Drew from now on.

I needed a part for a trailer. The employees at Dodd RV are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I showed them the broken part I needed to replace and they knew exactly what it was and where in their store to find it. They seem to have everything there! Highly recommended if you need anything for your RV or trailer.

Very disatisfied with how they operate.They DONT call you back ever on questions or concerns. They dont back their warranties,very incompetent,dishonest and lie straight to your face.I have had several issues with the to order it !! Im trading in my camper i bought from Dodds to another dealer in Chesapeake just to avoid having to deal with them in the future for anything.I dont want any ties to their company at all All. All their prices are 2 to 3 times higher then every where else. Do your self A favor and shop around !! Dont make the same mistake I did and buy their. This reveiw is directed at the Portsmouth,VA location and not towards the Yorktown locaton as I have not Delt with that location and I'm thankful for that !!
