Stayed the weekend for an event in town. We had a two queen bed room on the 3rd floor. I liked how there was a separate living room area with second TV, fridge and microwave. Our balcony faced the parking lot but I'm sure those with ocean views were beautiful. The beds were very firm so I didn't sleep all too well. I appreciated that there were many towels in the bathroom. Our one problem was that the AC in the room was not working our first night. Luckily in the morning the front desk was able to send someone to fix it. The hotel is right on the beach and they have a heated pool and lounge chairs/cabanas. I'm sure during the summer this is crowded. The gym was large for a hotel sized gym and everything was very clean and new. The second floor has many ballrooms for events and a small cafe that serves Starbucks coffee (but is very pricey). When we checked out, we were billed for parking and did not have a car. Parking is $30/day. Thankfully we checked our bill and the front desk was able to remove the charge. Overall, beautiful location for a quick weekend. I'd recommend staying here.

Girls weekend with my TFF (True Friend Forever) in Virginia Beach at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Beach Waterfront. What a beautiful spot right on the beach with a balcony room facing the beach. They have supermarket across the street which was convenient to pick up snacks. Our plan was to eat at local restaurant nearby, but the Delta had a cute beach front restaurant with a bar called Tides. Our first night was Oyster night, ($1 oysters). Yum. This was great for us to try them out without spending a lot. The drinks and the food was perfect our waiter Grey was the best. We did have breakfast the next day which was ok. I would visit their Starbucks inside the hotel which was better. Our weekend was perfect with the room, the service, and hospitality. Thanks Delta Marriott, we'll be back.

Good location on Shore Drive but the room we got was dated, shower tiles broken. Suite might be good for a family. Large room with a separate living with large sofa bed, tv, microwave & a small fridge. We checked in at 7pm, just hubby and I and we really didn't need that much room especially we just needed a place to sleep.Had I gotten a better maintained room, I would have given more stars. Staff was nice. We did not use any amenities like the pool or the access to the beach, which was the main reason for choosing this hotel... however, due to traffic we arrived much later than expected. Only have time to rest and sleep after having dinner across the street. But then, the pillows were uncomfortable, bed linens set lopsided, or sheet seemed to be for a queen set on a king bed. I think we lucked out of a good room. We checked out first thing so for the price point I could have gotten a comparable tidier hotel with better aesthetics elsewhere. Îf wished Îd gone to the Westin-smell better...Very nice location and convenient to great restaurants as bite of maine or taste or the porch, not to mention the direct access to the beach. Large room great for family. It was only myself and hubby not complaining about the size but rather that our room was dated with broken tiles in shower, lopsided queen sheets on a king bed. Had I been assigned a cleaner tidier room I would have given 10. For the price point, I should have stayed at the Westin at Town Center. It's cleaner and smell better... Delta hotel has potential for garnering 10 points if it can be maintained better to keep in line with the Marriott brand.

"Our stay at the hotel was pleasant, and the staff was great. However, we encountered a major billing issue. We booked and paid for three rooms under one credit card, but the hotel requested separate cards for incidentals. Two of those cards, which had no incidental charges, were wrongly charged over $800 each for the full stay. Despite contacting the hotel multiple times--both in person and by phone since our checkout on 9/22/2024--the $1600 has yet to be refunded. Initially, the hotel denied the charges, but after further investigation, they acknowledged the mistake and only now claim they are starting the refund process. This is unacceptable. Be cautious of unexpected charges at this hotel, and don't expect a prompt resolution."

This was a restaurant visit only, not an overnight. The exterior presented nicely. Valet service was welcoming and friendly. Clean lobby on approach to the elevators. Other common areas clean and even smelled good. The public restrooms clean, but odd faucet configuration too high causes splashing. They offer a full service banquet facility. I saw the set up and was impressed. The hotel has an outdoor pool that is smallish, but adequate. My biggest complaint is privacy from a nearby condo. The gift shop offers rentals of bicycles, bay cabanas and more. Delta has a fitness center that has newer equipment. It's small, but adequate. The second floor has a nice common area. Finally the hotel offers an in-house restaurant and bar. My experience was weak mainly due to understaffing. The food was good, nothing gourmet, but above average. The prices are high, but expected for a resort. This is a huge turnaround for the aging property formerly known as the Virginia Beach Convention Center. It took them 2+ years to renovate, but a fabulous job. To give an idea of the quality and guest they can now attract the Jonas Brothers and other artist stay here in their luxury suites. It's great to see them thriving this Summer with families returning.

Reviewing this place is a tough one. In many ways, it was great, yet there are some glaring deficiencies.ACCOMMODATIONSThe room we stayed in was very nice. It was a kitchen suite with a full bay front view. It was updated, clean, and the view was beautiful. We found the beds to be comfortable and I love the way they are situated with a view of the water. The bathroom was roomy with sinks outside the room with the toilet/shower which made it easier for everyone to get ready. Housekeeping was provided daily which is nice in this post-COVID world.A couple of downsides: First, there was a piece of wallpaper peeling off the wall as your first enter. It's not minor, it's horrendous. Leaving it like that seems as though they just don't care. Second, the bathroom door doesn't have a lock. I don't get that. Weird.AMMENITIESThis is a mixed bag. We loved the onsite "Starbucks." It was convenient for a quick breakfast or coffee in the morning. That being said, the hours are kinda weird (closed at 3p) and they ran out of milk and were unable to make drinks one day.The Valet Service was the highlight of the stay. Those guys are kind, attentive, and went above and beyond. One evening as we were waiting for our car in the pouring rain, the valet came to the front door to take us to the garage where he had our car waiting so we wouldn't get to dinner wet. That's great service! Finally, the real reason we came...the beach! This experience varies. The private beachfront is very small, but you can easily extend out toward the public portions. Since the beachfront is so small, there are a very limited number of cabanas available for rent. In order to be sure I got one for us while we were there, I stood at the door of "Seas the Day" an hour before they opened every day. That's a crappy way to start the day, but necessary to secure a spot. Oh, and they are expensive. It's $80/day for a cabana with 2 chairs. For that price, the rental experience should be better. And speaking of the beach, what is a beach without a bar? Well, it's the Delta Hotels by Marriott Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites, that's what. The bar is "conveniently" located inside the hotel and has pretty poor service and a limited selection to go along with it. What kind of beach bar doesn't have a blender for frozen drinks? That's a miss.OVERALLThis place is extremely family friendly. Oh, and it's pet friendly as well. We loved watching people try to coax their dogs into the ocean every day. At low tide, the water is knee-high for a good ways out into the ocean. There aren't really waves to speak of, but the shallow water is a great place to have a catch, sit on the sandbar, or just float around.Being so close to all the action of the boardwalk while having a family friendly place to head back to in the evening makes this a great place to stay.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! This hotel stay ranks in my top 3 of worst hotel stays EVER! I can't believe this is a Marriott property. I get a corporate discount so I typically stay at a Marriott property and this was such a huge disappointment for a hotel that costs $352/night with my discount. My friend and I arrived Friday night, August 23rd and check-in initially was smooth as normal. Upon entering the room, we thought great it's a nice size room. The issue occurred when we got in our room and started wiping down with our disinfectant wipes. Then, I noticed a washcloth in the shower hanging over the shower curtain. I asked my friend did she use a towel to wipe down the bathroom and she said no. We both said well if they didn't remove this towel; they likely didn't really clean this room. We go down and speak with the Manager on duty, who was, Jaime Cruz-Sosa. He apologized and assigned us another room. We walk up to this room and the door was ajar. We were already frustrated and didn't want to be a bother and go back down to ask for yet another room. So we started disinfecting once again. There were crumbs and stains on the couch in the living area. We said oh well we likely won't be sitting on that anyway. We get to the bathroom and there was toilet tissue still in the toilet!!!!!! I can't make this stuff up. Now, I'm pissed! We go back down, this time Jaime says I will go check this next room out myself before assigning it to you. All of this took up at least an hour or more of our time and we had plans. We missed the first night of the event that we came to town for because of all of this transpiring. The other young lady at the desk offered us free breakfast vouchers. Jaime offered 1/2 off the first night, late check out and told my friend to come back to see what they could do for night 2 for our troubles. The room we wound up in wasn't much better but at least it didn't have obvious signs of not being cleaned. The mirror light didn't work. We had used all of our travel Lysol wipes on the first two rooms and asked if we could get some for the 3rd room. Nope, we had to walk across the street to Rite Aid and purchase our own. You have to push a button on the fridge to keep it cooling. I think it was 2 hours at a time. The issues that I encountered during this stay were absolutely ridiculous! I will NEVER stay here again and perhaps not even at another Delta location at all due to this experience. I was told that the House Cleaning Managers, were Cathy Williams and Dominique Burton; they both need to manager their cleaning staff better. Lastly, we come back from the beach because we were told that our late check out time was 2pm. We go back to the room at 1pm and had been locked out. I had to go down to the front desk to get my key updated to gain access. When I tell you that the back to back debacles were unbelievable. When checking out, I told Keith, that I would be writing a poor review and he seemed unconcerned. This hotel is far to expensive for the issues that we encountered. Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere. The beach wasn't great either. It was a dead stingray on the beach on day #2.

Came on a busy weekend for a getaway. All-in-all nothing elaborate. A family friendly, decent stay. The suite was a nice size with some thoughtfully designed details, just a little dark where there weren't windows. The blanket was small and thin. No duvet, just a blanket between 2 sheets. The bed was comfortable otherwise. DoorDash has been faster and less hassle than room service which I ordered because Tin Cup was too busy to dine in. Turn down service can take a while and hallways were messy a few times. Everyone's having staffing issues I assume. You can stream Netflix, Amazon prime, showtime and YouTube from the tv. No mini bar, but you can door dash from total wine. There was a long line when I first checked in. It took about 20 minutes, then there was an area blackout so the concierge said they would send champagne and strawberries which never came. Parking garage was fine, but most spots were a little tight, especially for larger vehicles because of the cement posts. The included continental breakfast was nice. It was also beautiful sitting on the patio of tin cup in the morning, but I'd go when they first open or you might have to wait. Bay Area was not crowded which was really nice. There seems to be plenty to do and places to eat in the area, all within a 30 minute drive. A favorite was the Norfolk Botanical Garden, one of the best I've been to! As for the hotel, not a great stay, but not a bad one.

I had no idea this property existed. A friend mentioned a new hotel just opened at the beach and I sure thought I was on the up and up on the happenings at the beach... well Virginia Beach Oceanfront that is.But this property is on Shore Drive, Chick's Beach, I believe or let's just say off of the Chesapeake Bay.First State Landing Park is within walking distance too.I rarely visit this area, but I shall return soon!I failed to check out: the fitness area, the restaurant, Starbucks, the pools, including the outdoor heated pool. Very sexy by the way! I must return sooner than later... it is a must. This property is beautiful. There are at least four to five ballrooms. But on our short stay: The room is spacious and the bed was comfortable. I did not care for the shower set up, but it did the job.We did not have much of a view, but the location was awesome. This hotel is settled in the heart of Shore Drive...walking distance from everything. We were minutes from the grocery store and even partied across the street and did not have to worry about transportation.Trust next time I will book it to ensure we have a room with a view and take part in all the amenities this property has to offer. The concierge's Darryl and Stuart were a pleasure also.Have fun, be safe & enjoy life!

I struggled to give this hotel 4 or 5 stars but I'm giving 5 because my overnight stay was great. First - the room is VERY spacious. I'm always a fan of when the sink is separated from the shower so multiple people can get ready at one time lol. We had a nice bay view from our balcony... literally no complaints with the room. Wait.., just thought of a minor one. No extra blankets for the pull out sofa. I could have asked the front desk but it was late and we made it work. There was a $25 destination fee which we were allowed to use at the restaurant. Went by and grabbed a drink. Didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant but the view looked like it would've been a great experience. We didn't use valet. Did self parking. Pool is small...cold.. and very full of chlorine. To the point where I couldn't really stay in the pool because the smell was so strong. Had some apps while at the pool. Food is expensive but it's expected at a hotel. Overall, really enjoyed my evening.
