Deep Roots Greenery

O.M.G! Yes!!! A greenery on this side of the water! Yay!!!! I had no idea! I found out about this because they were part of the Yelp 757 Deals that ends December 12, 2021. I'm so glad they participated! I'll be back more than you may know. Locating was easy, and parking is great. As I entered I was greeted immediately. She was so nice. I started walking around taking a look at what was all at the store. I loved the area to sit. I feel like I could use that area to pick out pots for my new green babies. I was helped locating the plants for the 757 deals. I opted for the 4 inch fern for $7.57. I of course need to give her a home. She went perfectly in the white pot with what I call air bubbles on it. It was perfect! Pricing was great, and reasonable! Not only was there plants, there was candles, pots, spray bottles, pins, stickers and so much more. My favorite part all the signs about supporting LGBTQ ect. I love people who love other for them. Definitely a great store for your plant needs. She will also pot them for you if you buy a pot

Stopped by yesterday (12/11/21) for the #757deal. Omg! So many beautiful, well kept plants in such a lush, beautiful environment. Orange is one of my favorite colors; the orange couch complemented all of the greenery in the light filled environment. The customer service was wonderful, and she offered such knowledgeable information about the plants and other items without being pushy or uninterested. Just perfect. She showed me the behavior of the roots of the rabbit foot fern, and why it is named such, as well as the behavior of the leaves of the prayer plant. I also learned from her that some of the plants are in pots hand crafted by a creator in Charlottesville.There were several plants on the #757deal. I initially wanted the ripple red peperomia, then gravitated toward a spider plant, and finally chose a little fern. I was captivated by a curling Dracenea "twister." I'd never seen a curling one before, and neither had my mom, who is a plant expert. Mom loved it, and so do I. Mom noticed the rabbit's foot roots in the fern immediately. She also said ferns are hard to keep alive. Sigh. Maybe I should have chosen the peperomia, but so far so good as of 12/20.I'll be back.

This was my third visit to Deep Roots Greenery since they opened. I have purchased plants on each visit, and the first 2 still look as beautiful as the day I brought them home. The ambience of the store is also very appealing. It's very well-lit, open, and welcoming, with a small seating area to the side. The staff are so nice and friendly. They are also very knowledgeable about each plant and give specific instructions on how to water and how much sunlight the plant should or should not receive. All of the plants in the store are thriving and look very healthy. I am a gifter of plants and I do too frequent here as an option for future gifts. They are a little pricier than other shops, but my plant life at home has proven so far that you get what you pay for. 5 STARS! Beautiful plants and great staff.

What an awesome plant shop! I haven't been to downtown Hampton in awhile. There are lots of shops and easy street parking. I've been wanting to get some new plants for my office and hearing of the #yelp757deal I decided to head to Deep Roots Greenery. I'm not very knowledgeable about plants but I let them know what I was looking for, the lighting and what kind of space I had. There were so many options I'm sure I took 30mins to decide. I also loved that they marked plants with a small paw print letting you know it's pet friendly ( the vet tech in me loves that). I ended up leaving with two great plants and I hope to visit again soon.

I will find any reason to visit Deep Roots!! Lol! I have purchased plants for myself, for friends, and even brought a new Plant Mama with me for the experience. The music, atmosphere, the customer service, and most of all THE PLANTS are A-one. It feels like going to visit an old friend.

Cute plant shop! Very clean environment! Owner was very kind and knowledgeable! Learned if you need a plant repotted bring it in, purchase a larger pot, and they will gladly do it for you! Can't wait for them to start hosting potting events. Hope they do an event for creating fairy gardens! If you are in downtown Hampton stroll in and check out the plants and add some greenery to your living space!

Great selection, great customer service and you can never have to many plants! They have a nice rotating selection also, this is my second time and a lot of new varieties!

Such a cute and fun local shop!! The owner was so so sweet and it was just an experience in itself to be surrounded by so many beautiful and different plants!! I highly highly recommend stopping by! They also have care instructions on their website for the plants in the shop!! 10/10

This business is so cute and such a lovely addition to Downtown hampton. I went a few months ago to get my first young monsters. The staff was helpful about explaining care and expectations with fenestrations of the leaves. I will definitely be back!
