Dare County ABC Stores

Very clean and organized.The staff was super nice and it is easy to grab what you need. I was sent in to grab a big one bottle of Jack Daniels for someone's birthday.

I could have swore that I had reviewed this last time I was there, maybe there is a duplicate listing for this location? Anyway, this place is well organized and the staff were polite and helpful.It is more like a booze castle. Every liquor you can think of is up in this joint. No matter what size of bottle you want they have it on their shelves. Just about every brand is available as well.

ABC had a pretty good selection of liquors. They ended up having all of the varieties I wanted for my vacation cocktail lineup except 1 which is pretty good & they had plenty of parking.

Me and my wife walked into this location at 4:55PM not know that they closed at 5PM. "Google still has the hours advertised as close at 9PM" but due to covid-19 they close at 5PM. Upon entering the store Both employees working there said "everybody always wants to come in at closing. You have 5 seconds to get what you want, if you don't know what you want you can come back tomorrow." Those were their exact words and they said them very hatfully. "Iv worked in service all my life and had my fair share of customers coming in at closing but I always held my tongue and served them nicely. These two young men had no filter in how they felt about us being there. They were also rude to the two people that came in behind us that also didn't know they closed at 5. These boys need someone to talk to them about their customer service skills. Because they had none.

When you are in Southern Shores and are looking for liquor you have two choices. The first choice is Dare County ABC Store, and the second choice is you don't get liquor. So, if you are like myself, you will opt to visit the Dare County ABC Store.The place is very clean in and the staff is always friendly. They always have some everything, but not a lot of anything. You can get all of the staples, but very few of the specialty liquors. I did find a nice North Carolina whiskey called Defiant. I definitely recommend giving it a try. Its sort of like a scotch without the peat.You really do not have any other options when buying liquor in the Outer Banks, but you really don't need any. This place has everything you are looking for, and the prices are fair. I know I'll be back.

Your average liquor store, it had everything we needed and at a GREAT price, but I am comparing them to NYC prices. Not much to report... it's a liquor store, hah.

Very rude cashier. Someone with a forgotten ID was in our party, and immediately left when told. The cashier continued to be rude to the remaining party saying we should have read the sign and followed the rules and that she didn't need to sell us our alcohol. The person was very understanding upon realizing they didn't have their ID and left the store. The extra attitude was very unnecessary and disrespectful of an employee.
