Danny’s Downtown Dogs

I had a really good dining experience here. The service was great! The staff answered my questions about specific menu items, and even recommended one item over another. The grilled chicken salad was delicious. The veggies were super fresh and crisp. The fries are shoestring fries, and seasoned. I also had a side of baked beans. I also liked how they have a variety of places to sit: at the bar, in the window, at a table or a booth. They even bring the food to you!! You should check them out today!

I ordered bratwurst with sauerkraut and brown mustard.It was delicious. I wish they would leave the entire bratwurst whole instead of cutting it down the middle. It also seems like they removed the skin from the bratwurst so it didn't have that "snap" that I am used to. The bread I believe was "french bread", a weird combination to place the dog in, but it tasted good. Ambiance had a retro feel with retro music playing in the background. Overall it was a nice place to stop for lunch.

We were happy to find that this place is open a little later on Fridays, till 6 pm. Since they usually close at 3 pm. My whole family enjoyed the hot dogs that were prepared. I had the Mandi dog, with Cole slaw and thousand island dressing. I also had the small portion of pasta salad which was pretty good also. It was a little on the salty side but I did not mind it. The customer service was great, even though you order first and then sit down, someone came to our table to see how we were doing after we got our food. They had a good amount of seating with bar seating where you could watch them cook, and by the window. As well as community seating with a large table and several booths near the back of the restaurant. The only thing that bothered me was that they did not have a changing table in the women's bathroom which made it hard to change my daughter's diaper. Otherwise everything was pretty good.

Just a simple down to earth mom and pop hot dog shop. This is a quaint little spot in downtown Suffolk with good food, good service, what more can you ask for?

Came for breakfast this time and it does not disappoint! Not pictured is the order of the best French toast I've had in YEARS! Stuffed French toast with Strawberries... for 9$. They have limited hours so make sure you catch them open! 7am-10 or 10:30 for Breakfast and close at 3. Hoping soon they will be open weekends!!!

This new little spot in Suffolk is great! Prices are super reasonable, the staff was very friendly and the food came out quick, to order and delicious! They were out of chili sauce but the regular chili was great. One fry is enough for two people and the cookies are average. Their hours are a bit odd, but if you're downtown at the right time you have to give this place a shot!

Ate here the other day and was pleased with the order. The restaurant was clean, staff friendly and food good. We ordered some hot dogs and although they aren't the best I've had, they are nonetheless good. A plus is they are all-beef dogs. On the next visit I'll try something different. Give it a try...

Our last meal out before my husband Daniel passed away (Cancer stinks!). We had a wonderful date, the restaurant was busy but the server could tell that my husband was not well and she was very accommodating. I seated my husband at a table, went to the counter and ordered our food. He was having a hard time communicating what he wanted but the server was very patient and understanding. It really meant a lot to me, not knowing that only 3 days later he would be gone. We both commented on the cool seating the restaurant had, kind of picnic like. We use to go on picnics often when we were younger. We had a wonderful date and made some very special memories for me. Thanks Y'all, you'll just never know how special that date was to me. 32 years of marriage, gone in a heartbeat.

This tucked away spot for Breakfast and Lunch can be found in downtown Suffolk. First, thier menu has something for everyone. Vegetarian? Love Bacon? You should try this place out! Obviously there's hot dogs which are delicious in various different ways, but also stuffed French toast and omelets! Breakfast is only served until 1030am, and then it's lunch after that! The service is fast and friendly with their Values on the menu and a community table to break bread with friends at. The ambiance is open and inviting! Try this diner style restaurant out!

The food and prices are good. Two chili/onion dogs for $6.50, I thought was reasonable. Hot dogs were good and fresh, not rubbery. The hand cut fries were made to order and plentiful. The atmosphere is your typical fast food type with open booths and they have seats at the bar. It was pleasant and fairly busy for a lunch crowd and a lot of takeout. We were able to place our order fairly quickly and they brought it to the table. The only reason this is not a five star is because the guy taking the order was like I don't want to be here, but my mom made me like attitude. Then he is standing right in front of the menu options staring at you. Never said hello, can I help you, any questions or nothing! Then when my wife asked for hers without a bun, it was like you asked for filet mignon for a side.But, other than that, we will go back again. Maybe that guy had just lost his puppy or something.
