It's restaurant week in Suffolk and sadly it ends today. We tried to dine at another restaurant featured this week, but they ran out of all our choices... bummer.Nevertheless, Da'Lish to the rescue, and they did not disappoint!I heard of this place, and had it on my radar to try. It's only been open a few months now, but seeing the menu, this place is tempting.Well the wait is over, yesterday, my mother and I dined her for a late lunch and everything was on point. Our server, Rachelle (spelling maybe off) was friendly and greeted us immediately. My mother and I already knew our purpose... dine her for restaurant week so we selected items from the three course menu.We both had the 15 bean soup.Main dish - my mom had the pulled chicken and ribs - myself - the strawberry salad with salmon.Dessert - they were sold out of the cobbler, it was peach. Therefore, the only other option was cheesecake. However, we could choose our drizzle. Carmel for me and raspberry for my mom.My mom enjoyed every bite of her meal. With me... while I enjoyed my meal, I was a little disappointed in the salad. I did ask the contents and it was missed that onions are in the salad... yuck! I do not like raw onions. I did my best to eat around them and overall it was good, but I much would have loved it without the red onions.I asked to have my salmon blackened and they were able to deliver! My salmon was super tasty! I did eat a few strawberries, nuts and spinach leaves.I did try ribs and pulled chicken and both were tasty! My mom loved the toast that came with the meal. She even asked for more. The soup was flavorful and we wanted more, but kept it cute. The owner Dennis came out to talk with us and he was an absolute pleasure.I read the story on the menu - it was a good read. So I had an idea who the guy was when he walked out. Easy to talk to and he said he is the cook also! We definitely complimented him on everything. I even mentioned I wanted to try the jalapeno jerky he mentioned in the write up and to my surprise he had some for me to try!Da'Lish!!! I love jalapenos!! And this jerky had the spice and a hint of sweetness. An awesome combination!!!I highly recommend you stop in and dine because this hidden treasure is sure to delight you. From starters to dessert, definitely come to Suffolk and check them out.I understand they offer brunch on Sundays only from 9am to 2pm. I think I just might come here again very soon. The hospitality and food - they have what it takes!Wishing you all the best!Da'Lish it is!!Plenty of parking as this restaurant is located inside the Suffolk Cultural Arts building. Not hard to find at all. Come for a real treat! The atmosphere is warm and inviting. You can sit at a 2 or 4 person table and bar seating is available as well. Outdoor dining is an option too!Have fun and enjoy life :)

This is my second visit here, both were mediocre. The service was great, but the meal was not very flavorful. The prime rib had -zero- flavor, it was just a slab of meat. The fries were temperature hot, which is a plus for me; however, there was too much salt. The deviled eggs were truly Da'Lish. The lettuce in the salad did not seem to be clean and had a bitter taste. I had brunch a couple of weeks ago and was not impressed with the meal, but the service again was outstanding!

We went for Brunch and had a superb experience from the drinks to the food presented well and delivered by the cook and owner we were checked up on several times to see if we needed anything and if the food was to our liking. My ham and cheese omelet was made to perfection and we will go back.

The food quality and fast service is why I keep ordering, smoked bacon (amazing) to ham, turkey, pork, prime rib, corn beef, bake beans, potato salad, truly the Best Carrot Cake Ever! (gf). I am sure I missed a few items. Give Da'Lish a try and you NOT be disappointed!

Good start, but a quick decline. Ambience: At first glance it seemed to be a nice place, had been there before when it was a different restaurant. It quickly became unpleasant. The tables are so close that the other three tables right next to us were so loud that we literally couldn't have a conversation. We could not hear each other without yelling. Appetizers: Fried Chicken skins tasted like they were fried in old oil. House salad was never brought out. Pierogis were very tough and chewy, ordered the sauce on the side, but delivered with sauce on top.Entrees: Meatballs weren't much, three meatballs for $20. The mashed potatoes were soupy. The cabbage roll was overpowered by wine. The tuna sandwich was ordered with no sauce, and sent back for having sauce on it. Once I got the sandwich back it was the most dry piece of fish I've ever eaten. There was no way I could get through it. The server was friendly, but service was poor. We had to ask for refills. I had to get up to get straws, after asking for them twice. Salad was forgotten. Overall, extremely unimpressed. Certainly not worth the $83 bill. At the end was given the check with a huge QR code at the top to scan and pay with. Paid. Server chased after us to tell us we left without paying the bill. Had to tell them we paid with the option they provided us with.
