First time at this course and it was beautiful! Very well maintained and staff was courteous at the end of the day. Being Fourth of July weekend the course played slow but they let us play a few minutes past close and did not rush us off. Will definitely return!

I absolutely enjoy practicing at the range, and playing on this course in general. This Country Club is a bit more diverse than some of the others I've played at. I've been able to frequent this course due to my affiliation with "Women on Course" organization. They arrange range time, and course time with the women of the organization to take lessons with Golf Pro "Matt". He is very patient, direct and firm. As far as the course, I enjoy it, it isn't as visually intimidating as some of the others. However, I wish there were more visible rest rooms out on the course. The service in the clubhouse is good, and the waitstaff is very friendly.

we love playing at cypress point thru the years. we came with a large group of 18 on may 3,2023. . only irritating thing is how some people pay more than others . only a 5 dollars difference , but still.. a group rate should be for all in the group.

Before I share my thoughts in this review you may want to know that I am a member of this club and have been one since June 2010. In search of a place to call "home" for my golf game I visited a few other clubs that weren't so much out of my way to get there. After a number of searches I decided to call Cypress Point Country Club my home course.I'm been an avid golfer since I was 13. I'm far from competing on any sort of real competitive level but I wanted to play a course that offered a pretty good challenge. This place seems to fit the bill okay. There are much tougher courses in the area for me to hone my skills but I did need something convenient and I wanted to spend most of my time golfing at a place where I can just hang out with the little free time I have. Here's why I like this golf course:1) Provides a decent challenge (mediocre for all the golf courses in the area)2) Great practice facility - I like the driving range and people are allowed to chip on their practice green3) Staff is friendly4) Their restaurant has pretty good food and great happy hour specials5) Members of the club seem to be tight with each other often hanging out together outside of the golf course/club6) Non-members are welcome to playIn the last two years I've made some pretty good friends hanging out at the club. On numerous occasions I've brought out groups of 20+ people to play the course and had no problem securing tee times. On my birthday the last two years the staff graciously reserved times for me to have eight groups play (2010) and 13 groups play in (2011) at discounted nine hole rates. They even staffed their restaurant with extra people for my following birthday extravaganza. The course is in pretty good condition, too. Greens can be a bit slow but given the volatile weather that we experience from time to time the maintenance crew is a bit conservative on letting the grass grow long with fear of burning the course up on hot and dry days.Again, you don't have to be a member to play the golf course. I suggest stopping by their restaurant for either lunch or dinner (it can get pretty packed for dinner). The club does welcome private parties and offers private rooms for group meetings. Weddings and receptions have been held there, too. It's a good all around place for more than just golf. A group of old guys do hang out in the locker room playing cards. Though you will find that at any golf course you visit.

This is the second time I have played this course in the past year. The condition and playability of the course is just outstanding. The fairways and greens are generous and in superb condition. This does not look like a public course! I love this place.

Food is meh! Servers are few and slow. Thanksgiving Diner...food was. to replenished fast enough then ran out, servers brought single glasses of water vs filling all day from a pitcher. Few happy employees.

Thanksgiving 2023. Price @$25.00 was good. Otherwise, poor. I expected mediocre food. I did not expect it to be served cold. Very disappointed. I wandered over to the bar looking for mustard so as to make a ham sandwich to save the day. The hotdogs there for $4 looked great. I watched other reactions to see if I was off. Nope, heads shaking, angry eyes, frustrated looks. I recommend serious changes if they want to keep this thing going.

Probably the best course in Hampton roads area. The course is fun and challenges you to use all the clubs in your bag.

Cypress Point is a beautiful golf course and country club conveniently located between Va.Beach and Norfolk. The course is very well maintained and it's obvious their groundskeepers truly care . All of the staff, from the pro shop and restaurant are friendly and helpful and make you feel at home.

GREAT course. Always in terrific shape and the staff is outstanding! The clubhouse has great food and cold beverages, too. Matt Watson, PGA Pro, is always polite and professional and is fantastic at his teaching skills. By far the best golf experience in Tidewater.
