Many problems from this place over the years. We should've found a new dentist when the practice got sold. We've have issues with scheduling appointments, rude staff, improper billing (billed my insurance twice for the same thing, sent me a bill for things that were covered by my insurance, never even called me back to apologize or tell me I didn't owe them). We've had them change appointments without asking us, then don't try to accommodate you after they changed your appointment. The quality of work they do is okay. It's definitely not worth the staff. They've changed a lot & it's not for the better. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE & DON'T GO HERE.

The first experience wasn't the best. Multiple cancelled appointments and slow service. I came back for a second visit and I got Suzanne as our dental assistant. She was amazing! I can't say enough about how she interacts with children. If you come here I recommend Suzanne all day long! The waiting area and back rooms are clean and organized. All the staff were polite. We will be back. Would have gotten the 5th star but they like to cancel appointments and reschedule a little too much for my liking. ( on number 4 now ).

Excellent practice. Dr. Gray, who has small hands (important to those who have small mouths) is very gentle & takes his time to listen to your concerns & thoroughly answers your questions. Hannah is by far the best dental assistant. You can tell Hannah just like Dr. Gray truly care about their patients. You will receive the best care from the time you call and speak to Stephanie to schedule your appointment until the time you leave your appointment. Highly recommended Currituck Dental.

They use technology and I appreciate not having to fill out paperwork forms. I am always seen quickly after arriving. The staff is kind and considerate. Dr. Gray has small hands and I have a small mouth. I appreciate his care when working on my small mouth.

Super friendly staff and excellent care highly recommend. They take most dental insurance and also have affordable plans for those without insurance.

These people must only see about 2 patients a month! Cause they are never open. I mean, never. Left them several messages with no response. People from Currituck complain about the newer people spending their money & giving Va business. It's because the local businesses like this.

This office is terrible. I tried many times to get an appointment for me and my husband on the same day because we both work. The receptionist kept trying to give us appointments hours apart. She finally got the point that we wanted to go together and made us an appt for 2pm. The day before the appt they called and left me 4 messages to confirm the appt, however, each Time they called to confirm, it was for a different time. I called them back and said I was calling to confirm the appt but wasn't sure what time it was because the left multiple messages stating different times. She confirmed that it was at 2pm. We arrive at 1:45 pm the day of the appointment and are told that we are 30 minutes late and that they've tried to call multiple times. I told her that I spoke to them the day before and confirmed a 2 pm appt and that I hadn't received any calls from them that day. She said ok that's fine let's get the paperwork stated for your husband. A few minutes later she comes and asks me to step to the back. She said that she was sorry but we had to reschedule our appointments for a different day. I don't mind having to change an appt but please let me know before I leave from work 5 hrs early and drive 45 minutes. I will not be back there ever. I would not even give it 1 star but it won't let me post if I don't

I would have given a higher rating if Dr. Rimmer or staff would return my phone calls. While in the military, the service was great for my family. Even after my retirement in 2012 the service was great. Friendly staff. However something happened in 2013 as our appts would get cancelled at the last minute (the day of), not by us, but by the dentists office. Numerous times we showed up to find out that they cancelled. Was told by the receptionist that a call was placed to let us know of the cancellation. Told them at least three times to use our cell numbers to get in touch with us since we work and cannot answer the house phone. Even though receptionist "changed" the contact numbers, it still didnt matter. In 2014 my wife had another cancellation by the dentist office and my kids lost two afternoons of school because of the dentists decision to cancel. This time not even a phone call to the house. Have moved on to a better practice and called to have my and my family dental records sent to my new dentist. Was told they should have it in about a week. Its been eight months and still the new dentist doesnt have records from them. I'm wondering if they even have any. Repeated phone calls to Dr. Rimmers office have gone unanswered, just directly to an answering machine. If you want a headache, then this is the place to be. However you will be better off going to a practice that runs the staff and office in a professional manner and is better equip to keep appoitments as scheduled.
