Croatan Surf Club

Loved this place. First visit to OBX and we stayed here while on vacation 7/17-7/22/16. Accommodations were very modern and rooms quite spacious. Quiet, very well kept place. Private access to the beach. Beach was not crowded ever and girls enjoyed the view of the shipwreck just outside pool area and gazebo. Indoor pool, fitness center and spa was very nice. Will stay here again. Love OBX!!

Very nice units with large master. Our unit had a nice jacuzzi on the deck. Two nice pools - indoor and out. The gym is very small. The maintenance staff is very friendly. Josh went out of his way to help us even though he was extremely busy cleaning up after hurricane Irene.The only downside was that we heard the people walking in the unit above us. I would recommend a unit on the fourth floor if this is something that bothers you.

Croatan Surf Club. CSC-3L Sweet Escape. 9/4/21-9/11/21. My family and I have been traveling to the Outer Banks for our annual Summer vacation for over 30 years. We have stayed in all types of homes, units and condos. This particular trip we spent over $3,000 for our condo at the Croatan Surf Club. I have NEVER experienced a cockroach problem before. Day 1 we saw cockroaches on arrival. I called the realty office to address the issue. Then, when I physically went to the realty office to address the issue; I was met with a staff member who wrote down my complaint on a notepad and offered no other solution other than "a ticket will be put in with the extermination company". This issue was NOT solved in a timely matter. An exterminator came out multiple times over multiple days and there were still cockroaches in every room of the 2 level condo. My 8 year old daughter was afraid to sleep in her bed. She was terrified, and rightfully so after one morning she awoke to a cockroach over her bed on the ceiling. My husband I were completely disgusted AND we also had our infant with us. We are clean people and made sure that there was never any crumbs or food left out. After multiple unsuccessful exterminator visits, I asked for different accommodations for the remainder of our week and we were denied. This is unacceptable. The excuse was "all of our properties are booked". There is no way that the week AFTER Labor Day you were at 100% capacity for every single one of your properties. AND if you were at capacity, you should have compensated us for the horrible conditions that we had to endure. In addition, we saw HUGE RATS running around the pool deck in the mornings and evenings every single day. Again, YEARS we have stayed at many places in OBX and never has issues with vermin or rodents. You should be ashamed to have this property listed with your business. You should be ashamed at the lack of professionalism and customer service that your employees displayed. We will NEVER use Sun Realty again to book an OBX vacation and we will spread the word to our friends and family as well to never book with your company, as well as the Croatan Surf Club.

Will definitely return to the Croatan Surf Club. 8 of us spent a week there June 2017. The condo unit was beautifully remodeled. With 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was perfect, situated right on the beach, and close proximity to stores, restaurants, and the Wright Brothers Memorial. The Wifi was great, supporting 8 devices at a time. The parking beneath the building kept the cars clean and cool. Beach lockers near the parking kept us from having to drag everything to and from the room every day. Both pools were great. The office people were friendly and easy to work with. The only negative was that the game room advertised in the online site, and with a sign in the parking lot, didn't exist. They'd gotten rid of it. That was disappointing for the 6 teenagers with us.
