Creative Catering of Virginia

Creative catering was such a disappointment! The food tasting and initial consultation went well. But on the day of wedding, food was dry, blend and tasteless. Presentation looked okay. But their service was horrible, slow, unprofessional. My in-law had chosen the caterer and I paid the bill. And I had never experienced such a terrible catering service in my life.

Creative Catering of Virginia was outstanding with their service and their staff. Karen Kidd did a amazing job along with her coworkers and she was available with answers when ever I needed her. She always got back to me quickly. On the day of the rehersal the staff were punctual and had everything ready and staged perfectly to go.The staff interacted with the party quests and made everyone feel welcome. We had a wonderful time being around them.The food was great and set to the right temperatures.When the party was over they cleaned up everything and put the left overs in containers in the refrigerator. I did not clean one dish.I would never again host my own without Creative Catering.They just made it so easy and I got to enjoy the party like a quest in my own home.

Working with Creative Catering for our wedding was extremely easy, especially with a small window of time to work with. I specifically worked with Jennifer over the phone and email, and she was incredibly patient with my questions.We had about 3 months to plan after finding a great venue, and settling on a perfect (and very near) date. It was not a problem for Creative Catering - though they were booked for tastings at their office, they let us take home a sampling of food to go. And, just our luck - there was a park and picnic benches next door. :)Jennifer was very helpful - she had suggestions about what might work best for our party's guest count, including kids. The price was fantastic, and the staff who arrived to serve our wedding dinner were very polite and professional, and everyone loved the food. I feel like I got away with something here, having found a great caterer at a fantastic price - this is just the third review on Yelp. Jennifer in particular was extremely helpful for our event - she used the website for a beach house we rented to plan how to cater (linens required, tables we'd have available, etc.). I can't say enough good things about their team, but I just hope they know how wonderful it is to have our special day made that much better by a great meal.

I was very happy with Creative Catering. Pre wedding, we were in contact with Alyssa who was super responsive and helped us with any questions we had in regards to the menu, cocktail hour, bridal lunch and how everything would run the day of. My wedding was on location at a beach house in Sandbridge and Creative Catering had no problem still doing plated meals. Everyone the day of the wedding was professional, friendly and everything ran smoothly. The food was fantastic - we got salmon and chicken :) If you are looking for a caterer for your wedding I would definitely recommend Creative Catering!

Working with Creative Catering for our wedding was a GIANT disappointment. In the beginning I was impressed, Jennifer was helpful and our tasting went great....and then the wedding happened. As you know, catering is one of the most expensive things you will pay for on your wedding day, so to keep cost down, we decided to have the food delivered and I hired my own catering manager and staff to keep the food fresh, moving and served. The delivery driver showed up alone and was incredibly slow moving and my wedding was 30 minutes late starting because he was still setting up at the time my guests were supposed to be entering and being seated (it rained, so our wedding and reception had to be moved inside which is why he was setting up prior to guests entering.) They didn't bring enough serving utensils, the chaffing dishes had food and fingerprints all over them and the driver didn't even bring a towel to wipe them down when he was done. Just moments after the delivery man was done with set up, my husband traveled over to the table to grab himself a mini burger slider and a chicken tender for me, so that we had a bit of food in our stomachs before the ceremony, and both the burger and tender were DRY and over-cooked. The brioche bun was hard as a rock and neither tasted good at all, and certainly nothing like what we had tasted at our tasting. I was upset but had to keep the day moving along. When we finally did get a moment to eat, the rest of the food was just as disappointing. The only items that were true to how they had been when we did our tasting was the lumpia and pulled pork bbq. Jennifer emailed me the Monday after the wedding and I responded with the feedback from both my husband and ,I as well as my catering manager and then it happened, a full on debate between myself and the manager, where I literally had to argue my points of being disappointed, which I think is ridiculous. As a business, you accept feedback, both good and bad, for the betterment of your business, but it seems they only want to hear it if it is good, just as though it seems they would much prefer "full service catering" customers over "deliver" customers. I am incredibly disappointing with the food, I am incredibly disappointed in the level of customer service we are receiving now as we attempt to provide feedback and I am incredibly disappointed that I went with this company for our wedding catering.

CVA catered our first all-team lunch event since the pandemic. The office team was very helpful in planning the event. The catering staff was professional, courteous and very responsive to our needs. And of course, the food was delicious. I highly recommend CCVA!

My daughters wedding was July 2019. We had 130+ guests and it was a 5 hour reception. In our first 1 1/2 we ran out of ALL beer and in the 2 1/2 we ran out of bourbon and vodka. They told us the manager was working on the problem but no additional beer arrived. When having events such as this most people drink beer and wine rather than liquor. We also paid for an extra bartender because of the large number of guests and the first 1/2 hour there was only one.

Creative Catering was professional from our tasting through the wedding reception. The food was delicious and exactly what we ordered. The staff pitched in to help get the reception venue ready when we asked to move the ceremony into the same venue because of weather. While I called them numerous times with questions and requests (one the morning of the wedding), they were always patient and helpful.
