Visiting for over 15 years, and still the best sandwich in OBX, & prob NC. It is a must visit lunch stop, plentiful portions, great flavors & quality. Always friendly staff, fyi have had most of their non-pastrami sandwiches. Always go back to the Jennabelle & other turkey choices. Once you eat here, you will go back. You may be overwhelmed with the options at first, but stick to the type of meat you want and it might help narrow the choices. My photo does not do the sandwich justice. Closed Sun & Mon, like most places here FYI.

What a nice sandwich place for OBX! This was our first time stopping in and we loved the amazing array of sandwich options. Nice interior space and outdoor picnic tables for eating. Staff was friendly and patient. The only real downside for us was trying to navigate the large menu, it's hard to read it all and take it in!!! They do have some menus in a basket on the front counter, we just missed them initially.After trying to absorb the menu, I ordered my own typical sandwich to just test the waters: turkey sloppy joe! Turkey, swiss, coleslaw, and thousand island dressing on rye. It was delicious! The pickle spear was great too :)

Food was great. Sandwiches were huge. Very clean and staff was very polite. Definitely coming back.

A deli not to be missed. Plenty on parking. Indoor and outdoor tables. Super friendly staff.I went with the Italian sub. Bread was so fresh. Sandwich was expertly put together. This was easy to eat, not messy. Lots of fresh deli meat and cheese.

The place for deli sandwiches in OBX. We planned our day around coming here for lunch. The sandwiches are made quickly and piled high with meat, cheese, veggies, and condiments. The menu is posted above the counter. After ordering, grab a table or watch as they create your tasty masterpiece. The inside is a little small with high ceilings. Orders are wrapped to-go and we ate at a table outside. All of us enjoyed our sandwiches and left satisfied. Highly recommend coming here for lunch and we look forward to returning!

Yelp served us well once again!! We are down in OBX for a few days and we're looking for a great lunch spot. We found it! A real deli counter, slicing meats and making sandwiches and putting them in foil and brown paper bags!! We got the Killer and the Italian. They were both incredible!! We were commenting that they hit the spot and we loved this place!! Friendly service too. Fountain drinks, no alcohol at this point. We will be back!!

We were looking for a sandwich spot to pick up lunch for our beach day. Country Deli came up over and over as one of the best in the area. We stopped in and ordered an Italian to go. We planned to share it, I wanted tomato with mild peppers on my half and hubby wanted no tomato with hot peppers on his half. They didn't have a way to enter this info so the lady making sandwiches said they would put it all on the side. They wrapped the tomato slices as well as the mild and hot peppers in a piece of foil. I'm still not sure why they weren't able to just add it to the sandwich.We arrived back to our rental and I finished assembling the sandwich then headed to the beach. I wasn't a huge fan of the Italian. I thought the bologna flavor overtook the whole sandwich, the bread was bland and nothing special, there wasn't enough Italian dressing either. Overall, it was one of the most disappointing Italian sandwiches I've ever had. It's very unlikely I would return.

Honestly the size of these sandwiches is ridiculous. It easily feeds two people and possibly 3. Don't worry about it being slightly more expensive than other places because there is so much meat on these sandwiches. My wife got one of their salads and it was also huge. Their bologna had incredible flavor and their staff is super friendly. The only thing I would change was the Italian sandwich had a bit too much dressing for me but other than that it was great! The inside was very clean and it's definitely a great lunch place.

Best sandwich place ever!A pound of meat on a fresh sub roll.People are friendly they have a great menu.The pictures of the food are what they look like.We the manhandler - a pound of meat a bit too much mayo for us - next time we will ask for less mayo. The bread was super fresh.Also got a salad with chicken salad and egg salad on top - enough for both of us.

This was a great find to get sandwiches before heading to the beach for the day. Easy to order sandwiches online and pick-them up. Plus the bonus of it all was that the food was yummy! We had a roast beef and Turkey on a Kaiser roll and it was packed full of meat. The other sandwich we tried was the turkey club on toasted sourdough. Also packed full of meat. The pasta salad was delicious and the potato salad was also very good. Great sandwich place in the OBX!
