It was exciting to be able to drive right on the beach and see the wild horses! It was an unforgettable experience! Loved it!

This was a great experience. Our guide lives here so he was knowledgeable, excited to share the experiences, and taught us so much. Please be aware you may not see horses on the beach - it really depends on the horses themselves. Beautiful horses and the local nonprofit makes sure they're safe.

What an incredible adventure! This is an experience not to be missed. Our guide did a fabulous job of getting us to where the horses were. We saw 24 of the 99 wild horses in four harems. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the horses individually as well as their habits and how they interacted. I learned a lot about horses. Riding on the beach and in the unpaved areas of OBX was a cool treat on top of seeing the wild horses.There are many excellent wild horse tours to choose from, but trust me, THIS is the one you want to take! Definitely take your camera, the best one you have. Also take a windbreaker of sweater because it gets a little chilly cruising down the beach. Have a blast!

Corolla Outback Adventures offers Wild Horse Vehicle Tours along the OBX coast. Overall, my wife and I had a great experience during our first ever wild horse tour. Checking in was a breeze - the gentleman we encountered was warm and friendly. Our tour guide was amazing - she was clearly very passionate about her job and horses, knowledgable; and she made our tour memorable. We saw several wild horses throughout the tour and were able to get a lot of cool pictures/videos. Although we didn't see any horses on the beach right along the ocean, we were able to see them in the dunes and near some beach homes. Our tour guide stopped often to educate us on different things about the area (i.e., baby sea turtles, land development over the years, horses, etc.). This was an amazing way to start our vacation. We saw a few dozen horses. Our guide shared information about the history of the herd, the preservation efforts, and stories about the family groups we encountered. Unlike other tour companies, they can stop at certain locations and you can just observe the horses. This is the only company I will book with in the future.

Entertainment - 3.5/5Experience-ness - 4/5This is a unique and fun way to safely get up close and personal with the wild horses that roam the sand dunes in the outer banks. The tour guides know the horses really well and even got us several glimpses at one of the youngest foals as well as taking us around several large groups.The tour guide was a bit brusque and made a few bad jokes. And the truck isn't the most comfortable way to spend two hours. But when you are speeding along the beach with gorgeous scenery on your left and a bunch of beautiful horses on your right, you're having a great time.

Paul was our guide and he was awesome. What was supposed to be a 2-hour trip, he took so much extra time every time we saw horses and stopped. But it took us two and a half hours. His knowledge of the horses and the history of the land really made it enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.

Enjoyed this tour immensely! Edna, the tour guide, was pleasant and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to see 7 horses on our 9am tour. It was a bit chilly and extremely windy in the back of the truck... don't forget to bring a jacket!

So happy we went with this tour. Our tour guide Kathy Sue was knowledgeable about the area and the horses. She gave so much great info, had an awesome sense of humor and was an excellent driver. Such a fun day!

Six of us had a private wild horse tour this morning with Craig. He was so knowledgeable about the area and the horses. We saw so many horses and even got to see two three week old foals. It was thrilling to see such beautiful animals on the beach. I highly recommend this tour company.
