Ok. This place is cool. Lots of stuff. Walk around a few times to see it all. Things will appear before your eyes! Mostly american and european antiques but did find some asain antiques so keep looking!!They take credit cards and help you put stuff in the car. It's a big shop so give yourself some time to browse!

I always enjoy the live auctions! Boxes of great stuff at a reasonable value. Live auctions have become a family affair on the weekends, we really enjoy it and always have a good time....and leave with truckloads!! Jennifer and Rick are great, I look forward to more auctions at Coppersmith.

Regarding Bob's review: I'm not sure why owning an antique shop next to your own auction house is a bad thing. Next, I want to comment on 'he will run you up on prices and buy it for himself.' If I want something, nobody is going to outbid me. But it might just mean that I might pay more than the item is worth. Sometimes that happens if you get caught up in the moment, or if you gotta have it and are not concerned with the actual street-value. I'm not worried about that. Also, if Bob is implying that the auctioneer buys all the good stuff for his shop, this too is suspect logic. If the bidding stops at $200.00 with everyone but me and the auctioneer, then him and I battle it out. If he figures the item will sell for a maximum of $300.00 in the store and stops at $270.00 (the hypothetical highest amount he might pay to make a small profit-margin in the store), then I get to decide if I want to pay $280.00, which would STILL be below market value. Even if he bids it to $310.00 on ego, can I still not own the item? Of course I can. If you can't afford it don't buy it. If it goes sky-high, you can still buy it if you want it bad enough. At an auction, things go for market value AT THAT TIME. Simple as that. **NOTE** I have no dog in this hunt. There are auctions everywhere and I don't owe this auction house anything. I buy anywhere that has value. I added this part so that the reader does not think I am biased. I am not affiliated with the auction house in any way. I just wish to avoid misinformation and bias.

Relatively good auction. The worst part is that the Auctioneer owns a retail shop in the same building. That being said, he will run you up on prices and buy it for himself. Don't count on getting anything really nice at a decent price, especially if it is an antique. I have had this happen many times. I'm now done with this place and my friends, customers and business contacts have been notified...they won't be going either.
