Colonial Pizza Italian Ristorante

Okay, this was a pretty decent pizza. Just over the bridge in Urbanna, the place seemed to have a nice decor. But I was there for a pizza that I had called in. On a day when everyone else was either marked closed or not answering their phones, Colonial was there for me. Not cheap, but what is these days? The Meat Lover's Pizza was large, with adequate ingredients, and a chewy crust. A little more sauce closer to the edges would have been nice. Taste was good, but I still needed to add garlic powder and crushed red peppers. Very filling just after two slices. Not greasy, considering all of the meat. I would return.

I'm sad to say I felt compelled to leave this review, not to badmouth a local small business, but to help save consumers hard earned money. The food was just awful. My husband and I are pizza lovers of all kinds - thick, thin, toppings or not - we could eat it daily. Love the variety pizza offers getting it at different places. Not here. We got a regular pizza with multi toppings and it was disgusting. Threw it away. Decided to give it a second chance a few months later, different crust/toppings and it resulted in the same. Crust was so tough I couldn't just bite off a piece, I would have to gnaw on it. Cheese and sauce were flavorless. Pepperonis had an odd texture like plastic. Won't be back.

Cheeseburger sub is delicious! Highly recommend all of the food here. Fabulous locally owned establishment, please support them.

Amazing food! We stopped by to check it out and the amazing smell of their cooking had us sitting down for an early dinner. Waitress was so friendly, we had margarita pizza, white pizza, a steak and cheese wrap with fries and a small cheese pizza for my super picky 9 year old son. The owner came out and chatted with us (who shares the same name as my son!) and he is from Italy so we got even more excited to try this food! Everything we ordered was EXCELLENT! My 9 year old who is a pizza snob declared this the best pizza ever and ate his entire pizza at the table with no leftovers. Cannot recommend this place enough, definitely going to make a stop every time we visit urbanna!
