Good teachers are hit or miss in this school. You can tell which teachers are administrator's favorites. Before we deployed, the assistant director (who's name I forgot), black and stocky, was so rude and I hate to say it, super ghetto. I think her name was Yolanda. I am confused as to why she is sometimes in the kitchen and then be at the office. One time when I dropped the girls off, I heard that ast. director tell one of her "chums", "I'm the boss". Who says that? She lacks social graces and the way she talks to the children, she sounds like she's talking to them like grown people. My husband and I, both in the navy, just stuck it out since our deployment was looming near. Their children's bathroom is in a sad state. Overflowing most times and the place entirely looks run down while inside the building just looks dirty. There are some nice teachers there. One time, when I picked my daughters up (school age and PreK) both classrooms were beside each other, I was a little surprised that three teachers from the middle room (Ms. Aniyah?) one teacher whose class was in the bathroom and a black stout teacher (with an infant) were all seated on a chair by the door and were wedged between the doors while "technically" staying in their rooms. They were there just talking like you would at your front porch at home. And it didn't bother the director then!! My children's teacher in school age was nice while PreK teacher was amazing at what she does and I think she's the only one who cares for the children in her class. Lastly, one time, when I was signing my check for tuition, I was there in the front and both directors, and they were talking to another parent-- gossiping. On other instances, I've heard them make fun of the kids. Is this how Kindercares are?I'm sure and i hope other branches have a better environment than the last one my husband, children and I have experienced. Once our deployment was given, we didn't even finish the week left and just packed up all their belongings like pillows and blankets, extra clothes, and just left. If you're looking for a daycare, a real one and not glorified baby sitters for some (who are on their phone in their closet) a lot, you might want to scout some other places first before going to this one as your last option. Just giving everyone a heads up.

This is the second Kindercare our 7 month old has been to. The one on General Booth is amazing, but sadly we had to switch because of location inconvenience. The College Park kindercare looks rundown, and is even worse when you go inside. Every time my husband picks up our daughter, she's always in the same spot. He also says her face looks super flushed, like she has been crying. She always looked so happy when she was at General Booth. They did awesome activities in the infant room, and they took adorable pictures. The staff actually communicated with us! At this kindercare, the staff doesn't seem nearly as friendly, and they never tell us what they did with her throughout the day. She's also the only infant in the room, so who knows how much time they actually have to pay attention to her. This makes me very sad, and I dread taking her there every day.

One of the worst pre-schools iv ever incountered. My child was only there for 4 days. They stated my child has behavior issues and would not take a nap and therefore could not stay. They did nothing but gossip in that place. I picked her up from the kind care on her second day and my child asked me if I have a job, I asked her why she asked and she said the teacher had asked her. She's 3 and incredibly verbal. On top of all that they tried to charge me 400$ for the 4 days she had been there and I was on a voucher. I'm just glad I found a wonderful preschool for her in Virginia Beach. A child psychologist who works with her says she's incredibly smart and gets over excited but they are so good and patient with her. They say she maybe gifted total opposite of what kidercare told me about my daughter. They don't care about kids. They care about profit and not dealing with the more complex kids

The staff is great. My daughter has special needs and has been going here since she was 3 years old. She has moved up through the different rooms and now is in the school ager room. She loves it and so do I. They have a chef named Roy that does a great job with food allergies. Everyone knows our daughter by name and they keep her safe. It will be a sad day if we ever have to change daycare centers.

My two children go to this Kindercare- one is in the infant room, the other afterschool. They are always happy and well taken care of. The teachers are all always awesome, super friendly, and go above and beyond when taking care of my children's needs. They make me feel at ease leaving my sweethearts- most of the teachers are moms too, and they get how difficult it can be to leave your babies with strangers.Every morning at drop off my kids are excited to see their friends and teachers, and always run to give them goodbye hugs when I pick them up. I am incredibly picky about who my children stay with, and I would definitely reccomend them!! Thank you, Providence Kindercare!!
