No - that's NOT fried chicken. It's the best fried oyster on the Northern Neck.
Amateurs need not apply. This is a MONSTER Double Bacon Cheeseburger with shoestring fries.

Excellent fried fish lunch on a bed of crispy skinny fries. We sat outside and they brought our meals out quick enough. Reasonable prices. No craft beers though, so we drank water. It was good and cold.

Delicious! We came back for lunch twice. I ordered the crab cake sandwich, among the best in the area. Also had the fried shrimp abc fried oysters, cole slaw and potato salad.

This unassuming deli serves up some of the best fresh and local seafood on the entire Northern Neck. I'm a fried oyster FREAKAZOID - and crown Cockrell's Fried Oysters as the best anywhere. Crispy crunchy hot juicy succulent sizable salt-water bivalve molluscs that will make you drool just thinking about them later. Even the tartar sauce is a quantum leap better than anywhere else. Even their damned cheeseburgers are a bite above - and right on par with NNBurger. They are delicious in their simplicity. Went with a double bacon cheeseburger and the thing was so big, I ended up removing one of the patties just so I could get my big mouth around it. The shoestring fries were just ... Perfect. Hot. Crispy. Salty. Carbatious. Happiness. They have an indoor area with several tables. Outside, about ten picnic tables line a grassy knoll overlooking the creek and it took me a few moments to realize it was Reedville just across the creek. This is quintessential Northern Neck dining. Fresh seafood from what amounts to a pier side crab shack - sitting outside on a gorgeous autumn day, watching the working boats puttering by - and seeing some of those watermen pull up dockside to pick up some lunch. What better indicator that THIS place is the real deal?!

Surprised by the good reviews. This place is so mediocre. Came here for a crab cake sandwich which was generic and full of shells. Nothing special. You could tell this was a crab cake with lots of other "filler" ingredients. Served on a sad little potato roll with wilted lettuce and tomato, no tartar sauce or anything. I got the potato salad as a side which I honestly think was prepackaged and not homemade. The potato's were mushy and watery. The only redeeming thing about this place is the price. Roughly $15 for a crab cake sandwich is pretty good.

Great fresh seafood. Great place to swing by on a beautiful day to grab some seafood and eat outside on the picnic tables.

Their menu of classic favorites combined with the picnic table riverside dining makes for a great time. The crab cake sandwich was exactly what it should be - no nonsense, just crab on a bun. Likewise, the straightforward cheeseburger was excellent in its simplicity. From the many picnic tables there's a beautiful view of Reedville and some river action, with boats pulling up to grab lunch.

Not too many places to have seafood in the area. Other resturants are open only durind the end if the week and with a little fork to eat.The food was correct. Seafood, fried seafood and french fries or fried seafood salad or other fried fishes. The nice thing is the picnic tables outside, so you can enjoy being in front of the bay.Prices are expensive. Almost same at our fishmarket in Washington.

We ordered food NOT in the display case and received inexpensive frozen food (NOT the better quality frozen food you'd get at better restaurants). We asked 1st but still made the poor choice of ordering frozen food... our fault. The worst food we've had in the area.I assume if you get what's fresh in the case it'll be fine.

Working seafood market with great takeout. Picnic tables on the water. The real deal; and you won't break your budget. During COVID, place your order inside, then they will bring it out to your table. Don't forget the hush puppies!!
