my husband lost most of his perfect vision during an episode of pancreatitis and diabetic keto acidosis when he first found out he was diabetic. he came here and dr Verdi found bleeding behind his eyes. took months but his vision was finally completely restored!! Dr Verdi is great and very thorough and honest about what's possible. worth any wait. I later took my 92 year old dad and got great care as well.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. They we're also knowledgeable during eye exam and explained everything they we're doing before they performed test so you had no surprises. Dr. was friendly and quickly answered my questions. Would recommend this eye clinic to everyone.

My experience at this practice was negative. It was an ordeal just to get an appointment, as the office staff failed to give me both the correct office hours and the days that a provider would be on site. During my appointment, the staff's priority seemed to be getting me out of there as quickly as possible rather than accurately determining my eyeglass prescription or assessing my eye health. The technician made mistakes with my prescription, and the provider recommended an expensive procedure which my new doctor says is unnecessary. I would recommend seeking care elsewhere.

So first off, the nurses and doctors were great, the girls at the front counter don't know how insurance works though, they never even filed with my daughter insurance who is Tricare select, which according to Tricare they have to file with them, then they told me my daughter had not met her deductible, and here is where the problem starts, the family had met the deductible so they shouldn't have charged me 171.36 for a routine eye exam for my daughter, and Tricare select pays for one free eye exam per year, I've tried 3 times with Tricare on the line to inform them of their mistake, left 3 messages no one will call back and every single time we do call billing Conveniently isn't in the office nor was the office manager, I won't be bringing my daughter back and I will be going up there Monday!!

Don't really know how good they are since they don't answer the phone and email doesn't seem to work. Been trying for three days to confirm an appointment and don't even get an answering machine though I have checked and rechecked the phone number with the website. The answering service for the Chesapeake office says they that although the service does not answer for the E.City office, I am not the only person unable to get a response from Elizabeth City. I am assuming that they have gone out of business and will look elsewhere for service.

First time here. Nice office but it was cold. Had a somewhat new girl stumble through the eye testing process. Was shuffled back out to a freezing waiting room then ushered into another room to wait for doctor. Dr didnt explain much I had to ask questions. I felt rushed. Staff friendly but didnt feel comfortable and they never did explain what my eye test results meant. They seemed too busy
