Coastal Edge

This is such a friendly Coastal Edge. Staff is always saying Hello and Helpful. It is a pretty big store too. The right side is all the mens section and the left is for the ladies. Great selection of clothing. Great selection of shoes. And My personal favorite is that they have a nice selection of sunscreen. I go just for sunscreen all the time. They have good music going and it just feels like a party. I love this place. They are neat and clean and organized.

This is a nice and well-stocked Coastal Edge with friendly, young staff members eager to assist. I stopped in to try on a pair of Sanuks I've been eyeing and made easy small-talk with one of the gals working inside about our Christmas plans while I browsed. I found several cute items and they were having some holiday sales with 20% off certain items in the store. In case you aren't familiar this is a beach and surfer store with several locations around Hampton roads. They sell name brands like Vox and Roxy and have fashionable beach wear as well as surf wear and bathing suits. Shoes and surfboard gear. Sunglasses. Etc. If you're in the market for any of those things this spot in Red Mill commons is easier to access with more parking than the oceanfront ones.

For a first-time visit it was a solid one. There was no plan to actually hit the store up, but when finding myself in the area with my son who loves the store it was a no-brainer because he needed new shorts.The parking area is spacious and I found it tidy. The sidewalk area and front had pop up tents and sell banners around the entrance. Not so sure I'm a fan of all this clutter around the front of the store but I think it was just due to the big sale they were conducting.It was a fantastic time to take advantage of the multiple sales. Unfortunately time was not on our side to spend an eternity looking. Teens tend to be slow. The young male clerk was a rockstar and immediately begin pulling things from the rack for my son to try on. He remain friendly and on top of us the entire time. It was to our benefit that the store was dead on a Wednesday afternoon.The store has tons of shirt, shorts, shoes, socks and even a skateboard shop inside. Parents this is the hip store that your teens love spending your money at. It's not cheap so look for those sell items when you can. The store was well organized with attractive displays. My son did find a few pair of shorts that worked well for him. The checkout process was not quite as smooth with some difficulty figuring out how items matched with a buy one get one offer. In the end it was all sorted out and I was satisfied that we still got a good deal.This is not an area where I would normally frequent. However, I would absolutely come back to this store without hesitation and recommend.

My wife has been shopping at this ridiculously over-priced pseudo surf shop for years because her son loves name brand surfer clothing and it's convenient to where we live! First of all, one of the reasons I dislike this store so much is because they sic a sales girl or guy on you the moment you walk in to the point of overkill! They bug you the entire time you're trying to look around. What an oppressive shopping experience.Yes, they carry name brands, as does WRV and 17th Street Surf Shop. The main difference is that Coastal's clothing is so overpriced it's insane! Here's the real kicker and will prevent me or my wife from ever putting a toe back in their store. My wife bought my daughter-in-law a shirt and showed it to me that night. I told her she'll thank her, then put it in the back of her closet and never consider wearing it. It was definitely not her style. Therefore my wife took it back the very next day with the store receipt and asked for her money back. They told her that the owner's policy is never to refund a payment, a customer can only receive store credit! WTH?! The next day with receipt in hand and you're telling me you don't give refunds on returns regardless of the fact that it was purchased within 24 hours?!! Are you kidding me?!Buyer beware! Don't spend your hard earned money at this unappreciative, overpriced store! You can go right around the corner and get the same brand for 20% less or more! Plus the other local surf stores also carry their own name brand products and you can buy clothing at half the price! Save your $$$!

If I could give 20 stars then I would. The service I received was second to none. Shout out to payge, the store manager, for going above and beyond to get the items I Ordered. I'm from out of town and ordered several items anticipating to get them in time to wear over holiday weekend. She went out of her way and stopped by another store and picked up several items for me She was so helpful and sweet. Customer service A++++++

I used to work here. Everything is extremely overpriced. One pair of jeans is anywhere between $30-$70. There are always deals, but never good ones. The only good deals are on coastal edge original clothing, which are not very fashionable. Once a customer walks through the door, we are instructed to follow them around for most of the time they're in there, try to convince them to buy clothing even after they say no or are on their way to check out, etc. If we do not follow around customers, we are scolded. Not somewhere you want to shop if you're looking to shop peacefully.

OMG!!!!! Was helped by Nat...OUT FRIGGIN STANDING! Knew all about the different sizing among the brands. This guy has it going on! Awesome experience!

NO RETURNS?! I didn't realize until after my purchase of a pretty expensive hoodie that I was buying as a gift that the store does not accept returns (which is PURE INSANITY). Due to this policy, I will never make a purchase at Coastal Edge again. I will support the other 99.9% of businesses who respect a consumers right to decide they don't like an item and are more than willing to provide a full refund, no questions asked.

Beware you can't get a refund . Exchange only? If you aren't sure go somewhere else .... Not Happy

Coastal Edge is the place to be when you want great service and great deals. I recently went in to get a pair of shoes and there was a deal going on to buy one get one 20% off and how could anyone pass it up. I picked out a pair of shoes but they didn't have my size but I easily got them transected from a different store. Overall, I would totally recommend for everyone.
