Classics is a hidden RVA secret. The Philly cheese steak (+ chicken) is one of the best around. Get a strawberry limeade (large!) - you'll thank me later. And yes to the crinkle fries. I love the staff at Classics and it's cool to see all of the RVA pictures and history over the years.

no starshorrible customer service! I ordered a 12" sub thru grub hub but received only a 6" sub. When I called the restaurant, I was told that I was wrong and they were sure I got the 12". Was not the first time they failed to make good.

I'm so upset I didn't find this restaurant earlier. I've ordered twice now and it has not disappointed. The lamb gyro was so flavorful and delicious! This time I ordered the downtowner and lord was it delicious. The cheese fries are crinkle cut fries that are seasoned and topped with nacho cheese. They have just the right amount of kick. You have to get one of their limeades too! They are so freaking good! They taste just like Bill's barbecue limeades! The owners are so nice and even though they are packed when you get in there, the service is fast and pleasant. It's an in demand place with a few tables and chairs to eat in, but when I went there was standing room only. That had no effect on how delicious everything was. Definitely check this place out because it is such a must have!

One of the best steak and cheese you'll be able to get in the Richmond area... the steak is stacked and the bread is soft and chewey...The crinkled french fries are crispy and delicious... I always get them unsalted because dipping it in ketchup has enough salt...And the star of the show is the freshly made lime-aid... they even offer a sugar free version for those watching your sugar intake. I have never had a better one... If you're in the mood for a a great sub/sandwich shop... make your way!

Classics embodies the word nostalgia so well. Take a trip back in time for a great sub, fries and sweet limemade. The customer service was wonderful. I noticed on the way out that around back was a take out window making it more convenient for both dining out and dining in guests. The decor will give you a walk down memory lane with vintage toys and collectibles.

Classics is just that! A good little hole in the wall with some great food and limemades that slap! Order the large limeade. Thank me later because when the small runs out you'll be wanting more. The sandwiches here are so good and they have crinkle fries..classic right! Make your sandwich a combo and get fries and a drink (yup, you can get the limeade). I come here on lunch breaks and it's one of the local non-chain spots in the area by the airport (there are not many it seems), and I love eating from and supporting local businesses. This is kinda like that place where if you come enough the staff probably truly do know your name or your order. It gets BUSY during the lunch rush, so be prepared to wait. They do accept call in orders (when the line isn't ringing busy and you can get through) and do have a separate pickup order outside. Otherwise you come in and it's tight quarters to wait in line to order and then wait for made to order food and drinks. There are about 10 tables inside to dine in maybe. It's a no frills eat in, dump your own tray and trash kinda place and employees really only come out to clean off the tables and keep the rotation open for folks to come in. They are shockingly closed on weekends I think, but this is definitely a spot that is old school, understands the assignment and caters to the East End lunch crowd. Highly recommend for locals and visitors as a must try place for a great sandwich, crispy hot fries, and limeade that is perfection!

Went here before a flight and had the fried bologna sandwich with cheese and mustard. I also had some type of fresh or house made soda/limeade which was delightful. They had so many favorites to recommend and I had a hard time choosing but was delighted with my final choice. I also got there about 10 minutes before the rush and this place is POPULAR. I can only imagine how packed it is when the weather is nice.
