CHKD Thrift Store

They have lost their mind when it comes to pricing. Been going to this thrift store for years and it used to be my favorite to go to, but sadly I have been priced out of shopping here. I will go back to Goodwill.

This thrift store has some good things if your willing to look through. It seems a little cluttered in there, but i like going so i can support CHKD. All my kids have went to CHKD. So i am glad they have a store and i gladly support the cause!! Its located in Fairfield Shopping Center. They have certain days where seniors and police/fire fighters and etc receive discounts. The prices are mostly reasonable, but every once in a while you'll find a price that seems to much for a thrift store. But thats life i guess. If you keep your eye out they sometimes get really nice furniture sets on occasion. I always plan to stay at least an hour to rummage through everything. I'm nosey and don't wanna miss a thing. Lol. Its a pretty decent size store. I found a new bottle of Michael Kors perfume on my visit for $10. So i was happy about that. They also have alot of books if you like to read. Along the wall is household items and you can find just about anything over there, but ya gotta look!! The lines at times can get pretty long, so don't go at peak times if your in a rush. I really like this location and will definitely keep returning! Check em out!!!

It is so much fun shopping here. The items here aren't junky and dirty as other thrift stores. I've found formal wear here that is beautiful and so inexpensive. I shop here and usually can put together an outfit or two every time for less than the cost of one shirt at retail. Plus it's doing good for the community and not a greedy corporate magnate.

This is a very good thrift store. It's organized and clean and they often have very good finds. Usually they have less furniture but more clothes and books.

CHKD Thrift Store is located in the Fairfield Shopping area. There are lots of hidden gems for clothing. There are also lots of housewares. This is a fun place to do some bargain treasure hunting.

Lots of variety when I went however they are a touch disorganized which happens at thrift stores. It is fun hunting to see if you can find any treasures

Oh my gosh. I completely disagree with the comment about not being greeted. I have never walkedIn there without being greeted. I sometimes test it by being sneaky and walk in while no one seems to be at the front. Nope....they always see me! I love the atmosphere in this store and often stop in after work. It's a nice way to switch gears from busy day to going home to relax.

I'll give them 2 stars because the selection is ok.....but nothing irks my nerves more than entering a store and not being greeted especially when the clerks look you straight in the face! It's a thrift store so my expectations aren't as far as merchandise isn't to high especially because generally when I go I'm looking for specific items! But I will say that a lot of the inventory is well worn!

They always greet you and are nice ,but the overall prices are bad just like every other CHKD they get all there stuff free and yet price it so People that need it the most can not buy things ,I have just about stopped going at all ,I try and find Glass ware that i can up grade from Plastic ,but there prices on there glassware and nic nac's are like waking into an antique store, Come on fold a vase for $12.98 a bowl for the same price ,I know goodwills have a bad reputation, is a little tarnished because the top guy makes so much money but there do sell way cheaper and turn over is fast there ,I have been inside every single CHKD over and over again and i see the same glassware and other things as well for weeks on end,If they really want to make money they need to sell faster ,and that means selling it cheaper,Salvation Army has caught on to this and has lowered there prices ,so there stuff gets off the selves so they can turn over faster ,and now they do.CHKD is becoming DAV way to pricey for the people that all of you are suppose to be helping You every one of you get every thing from us free and yet all of you price like it is a consignment shop .Stop for goodness sacks. Take a q from Family Thrift store ,they turn over really fast and make stuff down fast so it do not set on there selves for very long.

Jessica is the best! Thanks so much for your help! Woohoo!When I first entered the building, Jessica greeted me with a big smile and I went directly over to her and asked for assistance. Everything that I was looking for, Jessica led me directly to it. She was very friendly and humorous. Definitely one of the coolest CHKD staffers I have ever met. I came here for a sweater vest because I could not find any at the other CHKD location and this place had lots to choose from. I was able to grab 4 in different styles. I also lucked up on a two piece suit and a few pair of slacks for work. It would be wonderful if they had changing rooms and all of their clothing items separated by sizes. This would help tremendously! :)
