Chinese Gourmet Hibachi Express

Before I begin let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's begin!.I seen this restaurant on a number of occasions, even went with one of my co workers here when they grabbed a bite but I didn't go in because I had plans to eat something else.. Fast forward to today, I decided to go and give them a try. It was not a bad spot, it was a fast food takeout with a few tables to dine in if you wanted to eat there! It was different menu and meat items to choose from,so from what I saw the menu was decent for a takeout place. I ordered spicy bourbon chicken combo which came with your choice of white/fried rice, different kinds of egg rolls, I chose chicken which was pretty good, and your choice of beverage which was a can of soda or a medium sized drink of choice, I chose sweet tea. My only complaint was the fried rice was in some sort of crock pot so the temperature of my fried rice was not hot the way I like it and my bourbon chicken wasn't hot enough ( temperature wise ) either. I personally like my food hot to the point where I have to blow on it before actually eating it!. I know some people may think that is a little weird but I can't explain why, I just do. Don't judge me!. The have an hibachi grill to cook your food on, or should I say heat some of your food on because some of the food is already cooked from what I saw, so they are just warming it up on the hibachi grill. At least what I ordered anyway. Some meat may may be cooked from raw but I didn't see it. So in a nut shell would I come back, sure but I would try something different in the menu to see what I possibly missed on my first go around, so stay tuned!.

If you are a fan of food court style bourbon chicken, this is the place. Massive portions for a great value. I ordered the 3meat1side on DoorDash and it hit the spot. Definitely enough for about 4 meals.

Well we were going to somewhere else at first but as fate would have it my stomach over ruled, so this lil Portsmouth establishment and order their 3 meat combo. I selected the spicy bourbon chicken general tsao chicken and orange chicken with fried rice, my best half ordered the spicy beef the spicy and regular bourbon chicken with mixed vegetables the service was quick and kind and the hibachi cook was busy around the griddle with call in and walk in orders. Brightly lit and alive we received our food (take out)And figure why not enjoy it in front of our favorite show! This was good I would say average there was nothing life changing but good although the generals chicken and the orange chicken had a flavor glaze but it was very thick!!! GooeyThey were liberal with jalapenos white made things hot but not as much flavor I have grown accustomed to but overall it was good for what it was and reasonable !

I was craving Nori Japan but didn't feel like going to the mall. This restaurant opened recently, replacing a Chinese restaurant we used to love. We ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Hibachi with fried rice and Lo Mein. The food was cooked to order, fresh and hot. Shrimp egg rolls were very good as well.

This is probably the best Chinese food I have tasted, it's a good price , good quantity, and tastes like good quality too, and it is delicious!!! I highly recommend

I have now ordered food from this place about five times over the past month. The food is always fresh and delicious. This goes for both the entrees and the hibachi. The restaurant is kept clean and everything looks like it is properly wiped down. The prices are pretty reasonable in comparison to local competitors. They are pretty quick and professional with delivering food.Employees are polite and kind.The only thing I would like is if they also sold soup. It is nice to finally have a good Chinese food restaurant in this area again. It is in the same location as Super Wok used to be but this is not the same and it is much better.

I have to say that this place is a hidden gem in Portsmouth. It's a little small place in the cut but has some of the best Chinese food in the 757. I went around lunch time and it was extremely busy. There was a 20 minute wait for one meal. The place is clean and the workers look clean. I don't have anything negative to say about their food but there is a long wait. Their ordering process could be better though. The poor little lady taking orders was very overwhelmed and lost it a few times. They just need a better ordering system or process.

So good! Food was hot juicy and delicious! It's definitely my new fave spot!!! Wanted food court food and got that x100 and it was so good! 10/10 highly recommend

The most infuriating experience ever!!! Even now, I'm trying not to say unkind things, but boy am I thinking them. I had to put TWO orders in for TWO drinks and EVEN Then They Still Got It WRONG! They were not helpful in the situation. Customer service was not to par. When I first entered, I text my spouse that we should come back to try the food. Upon leaving, I said "never again". To the workers, even if someone orders just 2 drinks, the ripple effect could be large. I really wish we could have tried your food. Maybe next time you won't stand around doing nothing instead of making 2 simple drinks. But based on the experience and the "eh" drinks, they are lucky for one star.

Everything smelled good when I walked in. Ordered the kid's meal - orange chicken with singapore rice noodles. Unfortunately, this had no flavor and my fortune cookie was broken . I will most likely not be returning being that these type of noodles are usually my favorite Chinese dish.
