The food was AWFUL. everything I ordered that's had a sauce was thinned down and a watery taste no FLAVOR. Example. Shrimp with lobster sauce they used shrimp and imitation crab meat. That recipe dose but call for crab I hate crab if I wanted crab I would have ordered it. I threw it away.,,Sweet sauce for fried wontons. Same thing watered Down and wontons were NOT made with wonton wrappers. Don't waste your hard earned money.

We ordered online and was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. Ran to pick up some drinks and figured we'd wait around for it. Our food was done in 10 minutes and was very delicious. Woman working the counter was very friendly. House fried rice was 9/10!

This is a cute place but they miss the mark with their thai food. Skip that. I excitedly got the thai fried rice once and it came with a confusing mixture of cashews, pineapple, and raisins??? I did some research and apparently thats a TYPE of thai fried rice but needless to say im not a fan and its certainly not the standard type you find when ordering. It was sickeningly sweet and because of the pineapple the rice came mushy. I couldnt eat it and threw it out after trying to no avail to pick the 100,000 raisins pineapple and cashews out. Their spring rolls and egg drop soup are good. Their lunch special is a steal at 4.25 and their general tso's as well as shrimp lo mein are good. (Photo of lunch menu attached) Ps when I looked on their menu their thai fried rice did not come as it looked in the picture. When I made them aware, thinking I had gotten the wrong order, they let me know they use stock photos on their menus. I let them know that it was dangeeous to advertise that way due to allergies. (Many people are allergic to cashews especially-***PHOTO ATTACHED**)The people who work there are all very friendly and gracious. Will be back but will avoid their thai food in the future.

Can I take back my previous review of this predominantly take-out spot?Yesterday I decided it was a chicken fried rice day. Soooo..... Based on my friend's constant patronage of what she calls "Cheapy Chinese", I decided to give it a lunch try.My order of chicken fried rice needed a little green to supplement the nutrition. So I also ordered two vegetable egg rolls. Imagine my surprise when the bill totaled almost $9. This was definitely not Cheapy Chinese. But Boy, was I glad I ordered the egg rolls!!!The chicken fried rice was by far the worst I have ever tasted. It lacked soy sauce flavoring to a fault. One look at the color of the rice told all. And no little packets of soy sauce were included to supplement. The only vegetables included in the rice were minced onions. So now we have very, very light beige rice, onions and ????What was that that other ingredient that was purported to be chicken? It didn't have the taste of chicken. It didn't have the consistency of chicken? Mystery meat might also not be descriptive. It's origin tasted closer to synthetic.Shut top of Chinese food carton. Push to opposite side of table where it would be completely out of sight. Open package of egg rolls. Yes, I did have something to eat. But it was quickly learned that no sauce packets had been included in the bag. That said, when one is really hungry one eats egg rolls without sauce. My friends can continue to enjoy their well priced lunch items. But I won't go back. Ever.....

Decent sweet and sour chicken but worst fried rice I've ever had in my entire life. It tasted like burnt pan and oil. Completely inedible. Some of the rice was only half cooked. No veggies in it, not even onions. It's like someone forgot to give it any flavor. Never in my entire life have I ever had fried rice that taste of this bad. Had to throw it away. The frozen stuff from the store is 10x better. So disappointed.

China sea is located near my job. So I have eaten here about 10 times during the course of the years. I was actually getting my takeout Chinese food from Happy Buffet that was located across the street but they closed down. China sea does a $4 lunch special which is what I usually get. I got the General Tso's chicken this last time but ive had the beef with broccoli and sesame chicken before. My biggest issue with the rice is the fried rice is legitimately plain during the lunch special. I mean no scallions, onions etc... So naturally the rice tastes pretty bland. The general tso's that I had last week I thought was a bit overcooked. Had good flavor and that helped with the lack of flavor from the rice. All in all I usually only come here when I want to spend less than $5 on lunch and don't want a burger. If not I prefer the Chinese food out the lynnhaven mall.

I love China Sea. Haven't really ordered anywhere else since I've tried a couple different items they serve. Everything is well seasoned and tastes good. The service is good and the owner pretty much knows my family...that's how often we come! The owner asks about the family every time we come in. They have a small eating area like most Chinese restaurants but it's always clean when we come in. Haven't had anything bad since I've been coming here...for about a year or two now!

This nice, clean Family run business is a great take out place, since Covid has caused many places to close off the former dining room. Reasonably priced, Cooked to order Fresh dishes, tasty Soups, super Lo Mein dishes. Our order is always ready when we arrive. They take every precaution to insure your order is Hot, Fresh, and delivered within All Health Protocol.
