I live nearby and have gone to this restaurant at least 100 times over the years. My family and I have always enjoyed ourselves here. The food is good and the service is usually better than average. Tonight was a disaster that revealed some fundamental flaw. I ordered the prime rib special rare. When my meal arrived it was obviously medium, and I pointed that out to the waitress. She asked me to cut into it (?) and there was a hint of pink. She took it back. A manager, did not give his name, came over after a few minutes and said my "steak" was being redone. Not too long after a new plate arrived and it was cooked exactly the same way. I called after the manager but he didn't hear me. I picked up my plate and followed him to the kitcken to complain. At least four people started yelling at me for being there. I complained that twice in a row they got the order wrong. One person opined that was the rarest they could do. One tall person was extremely rude and yelled at me for violating insurance rules for being in the kitchen. The manager asked if I wanted something else, but by that time my wife was halfway thru her meal. I told them I was done. I pitied my poor waitress who kept apologizing (you should never stiff the waitress when the kitchen screws up). The manager and the tall rude guy stopped by to tell me that they took my order off the bill like they were doing me a favor. They had no class. If you can't cook rare prime rib on Prime Rib Night SAY SO. Then I will order something else. THIS IS NOT THE PERFORMANCE I EXPECT AT THIS PLACE. Be professional. Take absolute pride in your work work. No excuses. Don't act like jerks.

Chick's Oyster Bar is everything you want in a seafood shack! The fried shrimp is absolutely incredible--crispy and perfectly seasoned.Pair it with some fresh oysters or a cold drink, and you've got the perfect meal by the water. What makes Chick's even more special is their strong support for the military. It's clear they value and honor service members, and that gives the place an even warmer, more welcoming vibe. The servers and bartenders were all great that I interacted with and very attentive. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for in an oyster bar--casual, fun, and full of coastal charm. It's the perfect spot to relax with friends, enjoy great food, and soak up the laid-back waterfront vibe.

Valet parking only. This is always a busy restaurant so they have a hostess as soon as you walk in. Pretty good service. The food has always been great. Crab dip is my favorite. The shrimp are really big and never disappoints. We have had burgers, they were ok. We have had a variety of food over the years. Some great and a few things that were so so. And a few times the bathrooms were a mess. I love the different bar areas and the view is wonderful. Last time we were there we watched dolphins in the water and a beautiful sunset. If they would keep the bathrooms cleaner on a regular basis, I would bump up the stars for sure.

Probably one of the best places to be if you're a seafood fan like being by the ocean and enjoying some good drinks. Especially good because of the breeze and the open deck if you prefer. Service was on point point. Props to Faith for checking up on us and making sure my first time here was exceptional. Good vibe here too. I can see how it gets packed and parking was super easy with the complimentary parking. Literally sprinting around to get your vehicle in 94° weather and humidity. If you're going to get the tacos you're definitely going to need some napkins as they get a little juicy but I stuck with some oysters on the half shell, super fresh and with a crab cake which I had grilled. I would probably get it fried next time. Everything was on point start to finish.

Chick's Oyster Bar offers a classic coastal dining experience, with its prime location right on the water, allowing diners to enjoy the beautiful marina view. Watching boats glide in and out of the inlet while enjoying a meal adds a special touch to the ambiance, perfectly complementing the seafood-centric menu. The food itself holds up well, especially if you're a fan of fried appetizers (Thats what I had). Classic favorites like crispy calamari, golden hush puppies, and crunchy fried oysters are all executed perfectly, delivering that satisfying crunch and rich flavor that you expect. While these dishes aren't exactly reinventing the wheel, they don't need to sometimes, sticking to the classics is the best choice. The overall vibe of Chick's is laid-back and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal with friends or family. Whether you're unwinding after a day at the beach or just looking for a relaxing place to enjoy some good food with a great view, Chick's Oyster Bar hits the mark.

Outstanding seafood and waterfront restaurant. Lots of covered and uncovered patio seating by the water as well as tables inside and bar top. The oysters were great but the hot crab dip was even better. The bread pudding was the best I've ever had, delicious every bite. Our server was great, she kept our water filled.

The flounder dinner shouldn't be $30. It was slightly overcooked which made the fish a little mushy. The green beans were some of the best I've had - perfectly cooked not too soft or hard. The skinny margaritas and orange crushes are my favorite. Shrimp are good as well with celery and carrots! Bartenders are nice.

Love that you can sit out in the sunroom areas and experience sitting near the ocean. It did get a bit warm but we opened the windows and the room was perfect. The service was great. I ordered the beans and rice with my sandwich but onions were included even though it's not specified. Just hate onions and wish it would be noted. Also, you cannot park unless you valet which is a negative for me.

Been coming here for YEARS, was only recently made aware this is the only place I've ever been where happy hour is limited to a certain section of the restaurant... Had to go over to the bar section after we finished our meal on the deck to get happy hour prices. When the waitress who came to help us found out we were just ordering drinks and closing out, she instantly had some sort of attitude about it. Very odd behavior and policy from such a staple restaurant like this one. Disappointing visit :(
