Always delicious. I remember when this place first got here and I'm so happy to see them grow. It's always so clean and cute in here. Love this place. Nice workers.

Was here in October 2023 so need to make sure my vote for this place is known! My friend Theresa and I met up (that's her in the photo) in Portsmouth. I had wanted to try a place I've not been to. Chick N Roll had the best customer service. They greet you, they explain what they have on the menu and even asked if I needed anything while I waited for my to go order. The to go chicken sandwich was delicious.

When you dine in you can order from the kiosk. What I love about this place is that they have photos for all their food items. The workers were very friendly and helpful, inside was clean. Chick N Roll is kinda pricey if you are trying to look for something cheap I wouldn't recommend. Still a solid place. We like to come here for quick lunch dates as they are close by and give great food. They're streamlined their ordering process through the machines in front of the register. Lately we've been playing with the chicken bites. They are good because they are simple and quite clean. The only thing starts to get kind 'meh' is when you realize that's a lotta dang breading. Just be cognizant of that when you order. :) I think next time we'll do a blend of boneless and bone-in. Also - the fries have always been a hit... no idea what they put in them.. but yup - quite good.Overall, there is simplicity in just ordering, sitting down, and having a good meal. It does diminish the service side of it, but it works here. My Bulgogi Wrap was very flavorful, my fries were hot, and my Unsweet Tea had a nice strong flavor of tea! The gentleman who works the counter was very helpful, informative, and was constantly working hard taking care of everything and everyone! Cute, casual place with plenty of seating and a tv, too! Check them out!

Chick n Roll used to be the restaurant I recommended everyone to try. It was my favorite- I came at least once a week from Virginia Beach to eat here! It was my favorite restaurant in Hampton RoadsAbout a year ago we had an order that was just not good. The sushi did not taste fresh and it was soggy, very very heavy on the rice. The chicken was hard, tough and barely sauced. I had been 5 more times since then and the quality has still been bad but now the service is unfriendly. The younger workers we've encountered at the counter tend to scowl, sulk and are overall unhelpful when ordering or asking questions and it makes the entire experience uncomfortable. I think this last bad food experience is our last visit.

Sophia and I made the drive to check out this little spot. They've been around a bit churning out items from wings to even sushi. Recently, they opened up another location in Chesapeake, which we'll check out down the road. Would our first visit be thumbs up or meh?We were greeted by the host once we walked in. He said we could take a seat and once we're ready, place our order at the counter. The decor inside was really nice with a few tables and artwork on the walls. There's even a station for takeout boxes, utensils, sauce packets and also a water station. Two thumbs up for yours truly. For my order, I chose a medium order of soy garlic wings (12 total) with a side of steak fries and Matcha milk tea with brown sugar jelly tapioca. This was very good. The wings were cooked perfectly and had just enough soy garlic where it wasn't overpowering. A slight crunch with every bite. The steak fries were pretty good as well. I don't know what dipping sauce they had as a side, but thumbs up. A sweet taste with a bit of a kick. You can even use it on wings if you want. Liked the matcha boba tea as a beverage. Both of us (Sophia ordered the same with french fries) got full halfway so we took it home. And it was just as good.I can definitely see why this place has pretty good reviews. Food is a bit pricey, but it's worth ordering. This will definitely be a repeat the next time we're in the area. Till next time :)

Definitely a fan of Chick N Roll. I've been here about three times this year so far and I have enjoyed each and every time. I'm not usually one that will opt for a "Order at the counter first" type of establishment, but it works out for this place. It's so tempting to order just so much food because it's all so good! I like doing the chick n roll combo, usually gravitating towards the spicy tuna roll and the soy garlic chicken bites. The sushi and the Takoyaki here are pretty good, and their boba tea is also awesome. Every person that I've encountered here has been very helpful and sweet. I even went here to do some work while I ate, and it was the perfect place for that. I will definitely have to come here again in the next year, and hopefully more before the year is out.

I have passed this place many times and never stopped until I saw it all over my timeline. I wish I stopped sooner. We had the wings (all flavors) a side of fries and a the original crispy chicken sandwich. Everything was good! We dined in and enjoyed our food! We did visit a second time and took our food to go- we live in Suffolk so that was a 20 minute ride. For future visits we will stick to dine in. The food fresh out the kitchen is definitely better than driving home.

I've been hearing about this place since it opened, but we don't get over to Portsmouth often. I'll definitely be making more regular trips for this!They were practically empty at noon on a rainy Saturday, and we were directed that we could pick a table if dining in and order when we're ready. The worst part about this place is deciding what to order because the menu has a wide variety and EVERYTHING sounds good. The food came out very quickly, and not a single person at our table was disappointed with anything. I got the CNR Soy Garlic chicken sandwich with fries. Everything about the meal was perfect... the chicken was super crispy and well coated in the soy garlic sauce. The toppings wonderfully balanced with the chicken. The fries were hot and crispy. Our table also tried a few of the chicken and sushi combos, and I think I'll try that next time to test out a few menu items. These combos come with PLENTY of food, and I think will make for a good shared meal with my two year old next time.
