Buying our first new travel trailer was truly a stress free experience. Chesapeake RV was upfront with the cost and financing. We found their prices to be among the best within a 250 mile radius. Our sales rep Larry was extremely personable and very attentative. He addressed every question we had and even called after we towed our new trailer off the lot to ensure we got home safely. There are a lot of horror stories related to buying travel trailers. Chesapeake RV is not one of them. We were given a 2 hour walk thru covering every feature of our camper prior driving away. As the proud owner of a 2016 Coachmen Freedom Express 236BHS, I highly recommend anyone in the market for a new camper to visit Chesapeake RV - you'll be glad you did.

Great place to buy unless you expect them to perform service work on your unit. Called Feb 3, 2022 was told that they can't fix any of my warranty issues until at least JUNE!! Now I have a trailer with two water leaks damaging the floor and wall with no way to get it fixed before more damage occurs. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!

We tried to set up an appointment for some minor repairs. When I told the manager we had work done there before, he told me they had no record of me coming in and that they were not accepting any new appointments. I would not recommend this dealer for purchasing a camper or having any repair work done. I will never visit thier dealer site again.

Very disappointed in this place and will not be going back. We were shopping for a new trailer but after finding all trailers locked on the lot we went in. Four people working and not a single one greeted us. After waiting 15 minutes with 3 kids and no one even saying hello, we left.. business must be good here and they don't need new customers.

I purchased my 2020 Coachmen Apex Nano (new) from Chesapeake RV Solutions. I also purchased an additional $1500 insurance package. After using the camper for six months, I brought it back for a few repairs. My plumbing had seven minor leaks - all documented with photos and Tupperware containers full of water. When I dropped the camper off I asked if I could use hose clamps should the plumbing develop any future leaks. The manager openly laughed at me and told me that it was a "ridiculous question" and a stupid solution. They then supposedly did a pressure test and told me they couldn't find a single leak. When I later crawled in back and looked at my plumbing I discovered:1) That they had used two hose clamps where I had marked leaks.2) That all 7 spots were still leaking. My awning motor always stopped when the awning was still 18" out. They told me they had replaced the motor. The "new" motor stopped when the awning was 18" out.My water pump stopped pumping water when the tank was still 1/3 full. One of their employees rapped his knuckles on the tank, smirked, and said, "It's empty, lady". He then grabbed a hose and filled it. The next time the pump ran endlessly I manually drained the remaining water. The 50-gallon tank still had 22 gallons in it. The water pump failed completely two months later.I asked them to show me how to manually retract the bump out in case I ever had an electrical failure. They said, "You should have asked that when you first bought the camper." I apologized and asked them to show me anyway. They said, "Look it up on the internet." I said I hadn't been able to find anything online and asked for a URL. They refused to give me one. Turns out there is no way to manually retract the bump out on this model camper. My insurance contract said there was a $50 fee if I brought the camper back to the place that sold it to me. They tried to charge me $200. When I pointed out the clause in the contract, they tried to charge me $100.They also charged me a $150 "inspection" fee. Most of all, they were incredibly rude and demeaning. This was right at the end of the pandemic and they had a lot of camper sales and repair jobs. When I called them to schedule an appointment for the repair they gave me a date over three months away and made it clear that they were doing me a huge favor not making me wait six months.Do not purchase a camper from Chesapeake RV Solutions!

They will try to nickel and dime you to death when you go to pick up your new unit. They also will try to not honor their quoted price for your trade in even though they are the ones who refuse to appraise it until you sign a buyers order for a new unit. They will try to not do all of the work for recalls. Once they have your money they don't care about you.

Do not buy a RV from Chesapeake RV. We called and e-mailed them work pictures informing them of the items that needed repaired. So that we wouldn't be without our RV too long because we're full-time. WE WERE TOLD THEY DIDN'T KNOW. When we clearly have emails stating this information. We also found our later that the warranty cover mobile service which they did not inform us. My husband had to call everyday to find out the progress. For example they didn't have someone to repair the floor so they had to contract someone. Which added another week. They were told as least six weeks ago with pictures. Also don't purchase the Compass RV insurance. It's a nightmare.

I purchased an RV on consignment through Chesapeake RV Solutions and am so overwhelmed by the number of issues I had, and the lack of concern from the business, that I feel compelled to leave this review.Back-Up Camera. A week prior to my 5th Wheel being delivered, I called to ensure they had installed the back-up camera as per the purchase agreement. The sales rep, Larry, promised that it had been installed and said the monitor (which goes into the towing vehicle) could be found in the 5th Wheel in one of the cabinets. When I received the 5th Wheel, I couldn't find the monitor and contacted Larry. He claimed to have spoke with the tech who installed it and told me it had to be in the cabinets and instructed me on more places to look. I tore the 5th Wheel apart looking for the monitor before going to the back of the 5th Wheel to see if I could even see a camera installed (this is my first RV, I wasn't 100% sure what to look for). I sent Larry a picture of the back of the 5th Wheel showing there was no camera and he responded that they would get one in the mail to me for us to install. When calling prior to delivery and multiple calls after delivery, Larry maintained the camera was installed until I sent picture proof it had not been. No validation of installation was done prior to delivery despite me calling to ensure it was. Camera is still not installed as I have to find assistance to do so despite the explicit terms of the purchase agreement.Black/Grey Tanks. When the 5th Wheel arrived, the black and grey tanks were 2/3 full. I inspected this 5th Wheel six weeks earlier at the business location and noticed then that they were 2/3 full (after the trailer had already been on the lot for several days/weeks. They promised to empty and clean them prior to delivery. This 5th Wheel sat for 2-3 months with full black and grey tanks prior to being delivered.Licensing/Registration - When the 5th Wheel arrived, the temporary tag had already been expired a week. Larry promised to have another temporary tag sent and promised the permanent registration would follow shortly thereafter. We received the second temporary tag 2-3 weeks later (current temporary tag was already 3+ weeks expired). The second temporary tag expired shortly thereafter and still no permanent registration. I contacted Larry and he assured me it would come. 6+ weeks after the second temporary tag expired, I still have no license. After contacting them again, Larry said they would send the paperwork in that weekend for the permanent license and Larry would call me the following Monday to confirm it had been sent. I received no call on that Monday but did get an email the following Wednesday confirming it was sent. Five days later, I get a call from the licensing agency saying that I stilled owed $970 for registration because Chesapeake RV Solutions calculated the sales tax using the wrong percentage rate.Owner Contact - After my second temporary tag expired and I hadn't received my permanent tags, I reached out to the owner through the business website. I emailed an explanation of all the issues I had so far and asked for him/her to contact me directly about fixing the permanent registration. Instead of contacting me, Larry contacted me again. Then, when I was notified that I owed another $970 to register the 5th Wheel, I emailed Larry and indicated that I wanted to speak to the owner and only the owner regarding the issues I've had. Larry emailed back with an excuse of how they came up with the $ figures for the registration but I have not received any contact from the owner regarding the ongoing concerns.
