Irresponsible healthcare providers and truly a horrific experience. The facility and equipment itself are outdated; however, the crux is the lack of professional drive that is profoundly lacking. Twice I have struggled for over a week to have a prescription filled due to the inability to communicate with the pharmacy or send it correctly initially. All that is needed is a signed form which both CVS and I have repeatedly asked for for days now. I have also spent the last several months in a cat and mouse chase trying to get Anyone to get their act together and follow through with a referral to a specialist for basic treatment. I see that I'm not the first with this complaint and wonder how often it actually does happen because there's no concern to remedy any of my complaints or for my health.

This was my first appointment as a new patient. The appointment was easy to make and the staff was friendly and moved me along efficiently. Nurses were thorough and kind. Dr. Miran was also thorough and took time with me asking questions and answering mine.

Currituck Internal Medicine is listed on my insurance card as my PCP. A few times I've call to make an appointment to be seen right away and the front desk stated they could give me an appointment the next day. I had to go to Patient First to be seen and pay more money. I was diagnosed with bronchitis. I will be changing them as my PCP.

The week before Christmas this office turned on their Christmas greeting a week ahead of time.. I called several days because I had become sick in my chest and needed to be seen. I was hoping they would help me out because I really did not want to go to the urgent care. No one answered the phones. So, I went to the urgent care and was diagnosed with pneumonia the day before Christmas. I called the on call doctor and told her that I had a follow up (annual) scheduled in a week or so and would follow up then. The week before my follow up. I asked the scheduler, should I go get a chest X-ray before I come in because I am still coughing and I would like for them to look at my lungs. Then she told me if you are still coughing you should not come in and she would call me back and let me know. She never called me back. I came in for the appointment and the front desk lady (Wanda, the same lady) said we need to switch your visit if to a sick visit. So, I was seen that day. Several weeks went by and I am still coughing with pain on my left lung. I went to the portal because I could not get a hold of anyone and the website said to better communicate with your provider please access your portal so I did. It was recommended for me to see my PCP by Vonda Raines and possible X-ray. I was so glad because someone had finally offered me an X-ray. So, I call the front desk and said I am calling to get an appointment for an X-ray with my PCP And they say well we do not have anything for two weeks ! I told her I was instructed to call and get an appointment and a possible X-ray over the portal. Then she says "if this is true" I will talk to my manager. Then I was kinda upset because I am sick and you are saying "if this is true" I told her of course it is true, I have Been trying to get over pneumonia, please don't say if this is true again, because that really upsets a sick person. I am sick with pneumonia and my blood pressure is alittle elevated from the virus. Then she proceeded to say "if this true"about 5 more times ! Even after I told her that it was really upsetting to me. Then the manager never called me back. So I called to speak with him 8 hours later and he would not let me get a word of my story in. I just wanted to have an intelligent conversation with him and see if he could help resolve the issues. But he never gave me a chance.... He started talking over me. Every time I would say a few words he would come back with a long sentence shutting me out. He was manipulating the whole conversation and not letting me speak. He dismissed my emotions and concerns as if they were not warranted..

I love Vonda Raines NP and have been her patient for 5 years. However, this practice is impossible to get hold of. They are constantly having phone problems and don't seem concerned about fixing the issue or exhibit any interest that their patients cannot reach them. I have found another practice.

Horrible office! Do not go here! Allison Williams is negligent and will never call you back. The nurses will call with your irregular lab results and tell you have a life altering illness even when it isn't true. When you call for clarification from the doctor you get a nurse or medical assistant. If you arrive at your appointment time they will turn you away and refuse to see you. Allison Williams nurse and assistant told me I had RA while my husband was deployed and when I asked to have the doctor call me back and explain what that meant and how that would impact my life and if that could be a false positive and if we could go over the labs she never called back. Instead the nurse called and told me there was no possibility of a false positive, come to find out my labs were negative for RA. The office staff are rude, condescending, and will hang up on you mid sentence. Avoid this office at all cost!

Before Dr. Susan Ziglar left, I would have been raving about the care and professionalism of this facility. She was an absolutely phenomenal doctor and was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, sincere, and caring. She would help you understand her reasoning and why her courses of action were taken with your best interests at the center. Allison Williams, on the other hand, is abysmal. She doesn't seem to care about your wellbeing whatsoever. She will not explain her decisions or rationale, she won't follow up, and she rushes through the appointments. I put up with the three month plus wait for appointments and the long in office wait times before because Dr. Ziglar was amazing, but for lackluster care it is simply too much. Allison Williams even arbitrarily tried to switch my medication to something that I tried in the past with poor results. And that was for no apparent reason! She did not even try to work with me to help me find solutions or even give an adequate referral; she simply sent it through the hospital system and I was referred to another terrible physicians assistant 45 minutes away. Stay away from this place if you are trying to find professionals who care about your health.

Office staff is not at all good at dealing with the public. Nearly impossible to get an appointment with your doctor and when you go to urgent care be prepared to be treated like your imposing on their time.Pay close attention to your scripts with them and don't expect any referral to be done correctly or in a timely manner. I'm switching doctors offices ASAP. It will be better for my health!
