Chesapeake Pizza

+ Food good+ Service great+ Location easy to find w/large parking lot - a bit pricy for what it is- cash only unless ordered online (but ATM inside restaurant)- could be kept a little cleaner

I'm visiting family from NYC, and they took me out to Chesapeake Pizza. If you have a nostalgia for the 80s Pizza Huts, this is the closest thing around, but there are no juke boxes or Arcade games. Pizza is fresh and delicious. Also, we arrived on a Friday night and the place was packed. The waiting list moved fairly well and the staff who work here are very friendly, helpful and professional. The only reason I'm not 5 starting them is because they only take cash.

This is my grandparents favorite location pizza spot. We ordered to-go last time I visited and it was pretty good. I personally wasn't a fan of the crust but sauce was good and good amount of toppings. Pizza was ready on time, and the worker on the phone was nice. I didn't go inside but it looks like an old school Pizza Hut building.

A hometown pizza place with amazing pizza, subs and more. We love coming in and ordering a yummy pepperoni pizza with marinara. Our service is always amazing. Thank you

After more than 30 years coming here, I really do believe their pizza is the best around. I especially love that it's a local family restaurant and not a chain. However, some things have changed. They no longer can accommodate parties larger than 10 without splitting them up. The separate room in the past could accommodate our large parties over 10 but it does not. Also, their Chesapeake special pizza tastes the same, the crust seems a bit thinner. They frequently tend to run out of pizza early in the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays. Service is still great.

My family was there last night the food was great. Then we get home and someone feels ill. The next morning we all get food poisoning. I will never come here again

I honestly don't even know where to start. This place is *the* definition of disappointing. First off, the service was painfully slow. We were seated, and then ignored for what felt like an eternity. Our waitress seemed totally uninterested, and when she finally took our order, she didn't even write anything down. Guess what? She got the order completely wrong.The pizza? Wow, just wow. I've had better frozen pizza from the grocery store. The crust was bland and soggy, and it looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The cheese was rubbery and the toppings were scarce -- definitely not worth the price. And don't even get me started on the sauce, which tasted like it came out of a can. I've had better meals at chain restaurants, which says a lot.Oh, and the place itself? A total dive. It smells like grease and regret, and the decor looks like it hasn't been updated since the '90s. The tables were sticky, the floors were dirty, and the whole place had this uncomfortable, rundown vibe.Honestly, I don't know how this place stays in business. Save your time and money -- go anywhere else. Even if you're craving pizza, just order from a chain. You'll get better food and service at half the price. Will never return.

We have been in Chesapeake for 35 years, drove past Chesapeake Pizza many times but never dropped in. We finally went and it's our go to place for pizza now. The staff is always friendly and the pizza is hot and perfectly made. Wish we never let all those years go by without going in.

Pizza has been delicious each time we've been there. We always get the Chesapeake (everything in it) which is their usual special on Sunday. The garlic bread is also delicious and comes with marinara. The sweet tea is good if you're into tea. The place is always clean too which is important in a restaurant. They are cash only so stop at the ATM before going. They have one there by the checkout if you forget though.
