Charly's Airport Restaurant

Normal menu or specials, haven't had a meal that wasn't fantastic. The added bonus of getting to watch small planes taking off and landing makes Charly's a unique spot!

We went to Charly's on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. No matter how busy they are, they are always friendly and positive. If there's a wait, I highly suggest waiting because it's so worth it. The bread is fresh baked daily, and you can see your food being prepared. The highlight of Charly's is going on a clear day and watching the planes take off and land while you eat. It's a wonderful experience for the whole family. The portions are filling and prices are extremely reasonable. They also have a decent beer selection of local breweries. We love coming here!

This is a fun little restaurant at an actual airport! There were some hits and misses at my first visit today: Hits: Good bread the sandwich comes on and fun/cool views from the restaurant overlooking the runway. Our server was very attentive when we first got there. She got our drinks and order in right away. Misses: The soup of the day which was a broccoli chicken lacked flavor. The chicken salad said that it had pineapple in it and I could not taste any type of pineapple which was sad. The waitress never came back to check on us or offer us refills.

We'll all the times I've spent hanging in the Williamsburg area, I've never seen this place or heard about it. That's a shame. First this is right at the local Williamsburg Airport. Looking over the runway. We ate inside since the weather is a mess today, but they do have patio seating and on a different day that would have been nice. As for the food it was decent. The wifey and I had sandwiches. She a bacon filled BLT which she enjoyed. Me, I had a Turkey and American cheese sandwich with chips. The wifey added a cup of soup. A seafood bisque. Now that was worth a 5 star. It had a great flavor. I'm a bit hard when passing out stars for places. I gave a 4 star but really I would have given it a 4 1/2 if that was an option. As for the service. The young lady ran around at all the tables (maybe 8 tables with customers) and with being pretty busy, she took care of us. She definitely earned her $$$ keeping everyone straight. So I do recommend this place and think it's worth your consideration.

I love Charly's...especially on Friday nights in the summer. Great sandwich's, decent beer, and music. Plus, you can watch the planes take off and land. Cool stuff. Check it out for yourself.

I've been twice in the last 6-8 months and every time I've been the sandwiches have been excellent, service is very good if not too busy (which they seem to be with many regulars), and they are willing to accommodate special requests (i.e., types of bread, hot/cold option for sandwich, condiments). Since I'm a beer drinker at lunch, I tend to like more options than they but this is not a brewery so....

I absolutely loved this place. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a playground outside for kids, planes taking off and landing, and great food. They have a varied menu of salads and cold or hot sandwiches. They make their bread in-house (the Bavarian bread was AMAZING!). All entrees were super reasonable (under $10) and food came out fast. We will definitely be back!!Oh and on the second weekend of October, November, and December they're having a pancake breakfast fundraiser at 8:30am. If we were local, we'd be there!

Nice, welcoming gentleman at the counter. Food wasn't very good at all and the restaurant really needs a deep cleaning, especially the tops of the booth tables. Wanted to like this cute little place because they had put out on FaceBook "come support us locally". But you have to do better than this if want to be supported during the "dry spells" of winter and lack of tourists.

This restaurant is meh. Breads are good but to me the rest is nothing to brag about. We did have a good beer. Too bad no shade on the patio. Probably won't make the trip back. Sorry I would love to give a better review but....

I had the roast beef dip! Yummy Bavarian bread! My husband had the tuna salad and he ate the whole thing.Fun to see the airplanes.
