Charlie West's Grill & Ice Cream

Today was a beautiful 70 degree January day that put me in the mood for ice cream. Despite living in the area, I had never been to Charlie West's Grill & Ice Cream. It was fairly slow when I arrived after lunch time. It's a traditional looking, charming ice cream parlor atmosphere. They offer a large selection of ice cream flavors and several options for cones: sugar cones, waffle cones, in a dish, etc. The girls were very friendly and made suggestions as I asked their opinions and offered a free taste.The downside...as I was paying, one of the workers was changing out the ice cream bin for a fresh one. It was marked "Hershey's" down the side. I guess I had expected that for the price, it would be home-made not Hershey's. I paid more for that cone than I would have had I purchased a half gallon of Hershey's ice cream. Therefore, I don't perceive this to have much value to the consumer. I guess that's why I don't go out for ice cream.

This place looked very low class and I went in and was impressed by the luxury and the ice cream was about 20 dollar ice cream but it was 9 dollars for 3 cups
