Central Park Deli

Very nice food. Pastrami & Corn Beef are excellent. Pastrami & Swiss or Reuben is the way to go, but I've eaten just about everything one time or another. Service is phenomenal. Ashley has been there for a long time. She's super active.

This family owned business has changed and not for the better. The prices have gone up and the food is not as good. I got a hot dog with mustard and slaw. I have never had a hot dog with so much bread! I took the Weiner off the bread. My mom got French fries. We split those. The ambience is the same. It is actually just a hole in the wall. We received no service to speak of. My mom's tea was not refilled. We will not be returning. Twenty dollars for a hot dog and fries!

My mom and I came here for lunch but did a take out order. The order took forever because there was this huge confusion. For whatever reason the cashier had our order confused with someone else and had made my mom pay for that food and when they found out the mistake, they had trouble refunding my mom and the person who actually had ordered it was going to leave without paying for the order since my mom did! And when we thought things were finally settled, they only charged us for one order so we got one sandwich and when my mom asked where the other sandwich was, the cashier was even more confused! So we had to wait even longer for my sandwich. We ordered the same sandwich: Pastrami with Swiss on a roll but when we got the food, one of as just on regular bread without any cheese. We were starving by then and ended up eating what we got. It did taste pretty good so I guess that makes up for the endless confusion. On a side note: the place was pretty busy with so many people dining in and taking out so they must be doing something right so I'll give them another chance next time.

Lunch time rush!!!! This place is PACKED!!! Food is always on point and our waitress was super attentive.

Server was very attentive no complaint there. Food was okay not like it use to be. Very disappointed that the pickles are now $2.50 instead of free. Always loved knowing that I could go somewhere that did this as I am gluten free and it was like the bread basket but instead a small bowl of pickles. The atmosphere was off I cannot put my finger on it just not a good vibe. Not sure when the next time we will be going back. All new staff and seems like possible new ownership.

Fast and friendly service.The Ruben sandwich is really good, could use a little more sauerkraut. The Patty Melt was over cooked and not many onions. Fries hot and good. I would buy the Ruben again, but not the patty melt.

I been bearding so much about the deli finally I was off one day they was open. I had the sailor and my bf got the Philly. He loves it there. It was my first time I do like how it was run. He likes the steak fries and pickles. I would come back. But probably order something else though.

I just ate the double cheeseburger with no mayo, it was very delicious. They could've put less onions on it.

We are big sandwich fans and this deli did not disappoint. I had a corned beef on rye with Swiss and my husband had the roast beef on pumpernickel. They have all the breads, all the meats and great sides. The corned beef was so tender and trimmed of the fat. So good! The waitress was awesome and the food came out quickly. We will be back.

First time reviewer...I have over 15 years eaten at Central Park Deli in Chester, VA. On 1/10/2024 we went to enjoy their delicious Reuben's sandwiches; we were disappointed big time. Our server was great and she always is so absolutely no complaints there. The problem was the kitchen. My husband and I sat down at 12:30 and noticed they didn't have the lines to wait like they use to. Ok prices are going up everywhere I get it. But why did we have to wait an hour for a subpar Reuben? More people walked out with only having a meal. Our sandwiches were cool to cold not the warm sandwiches we were use to. The sandwiches barely touched the grill! There was no hustle like there used to be to be at the grill. Just casual cooking. The kitchen doesn't care so I won't either.No I won't be back anymore. I can do better at home And will and save my money
