Center Stage Dance Company

I wrote a review 2 years ago, and it must not have posted so I rewriting this.. My 2 children attended this dance school, and I must say the teacher had hurt my childs feeling once, and when I spoke to the owner about it she could care less and tried justify the fact. I always felt like I wasn't treated the same like the other parents.. they definitely had their favourites. I felt very unwelcomed, and a bad vibration from the whole place, but they trap you in there with all these fees and stuff for the recital that you don't want to back out until the recital is over. so your kids can get the enjoyment. I also felt like the front desk staff was rude and aloof with me. I was so happy when it was all over I put my kids in a much better dance school at Encore in Virginia Beach where they actually learned a lot more the classrooms were not as large there and my kids felt much more welcomed and so did I. We will never return to this school.

My daughter and I love this place! The staff is nothing short of amazing!! My daughter took her first ballet class last year. She then wanted to try hip hop so I put her in the summer camp for hip hop and she loved it. Well when the time came to re register her for fall classes, I took too long and the classes filled up. I wrote the staff explaining how much she really wanted to be in hip hop. Next thing I know I got an email confirming the hip hop registration. I love how involved the staff is with each and every student. I love that anytime I go in to pick my daughter up from class, it's nothing but positive enegery. I love this company and I dont ever see us leaving.

I can only speak for our experience with Mommy & Me, but I know the Zumba is wildly popular, too. I found Center Stage thanks to a daily deal site. My two year old daughter and I attended the Mommy & Me class and it was super fun. Compared to other Mommy & Me classes in the area, it is certainly the most affordable, only $40/6 week session. They offer dance classes for all ages. Everyone there was very nice, especially the owner, Stephanie. Gosh! I don't even know where to start! My daughter adores her teacher and they are so patient with the tiny dancers! We have been coming to center stage for over a year! We are taking a little dance break but will be back soon . Great studio and great staff! Making wonderful memories!

My girls have been dancing with Center stage since day one. I absolutely love this studio. The teachers are fun and professional and always show my girls love. The summer camps are so fun for my girls, I just can't say enough about this company!

Stephanie and the crew of Center Stage do an amazing job. During the pandemic they have been super creative in coming up with ways for the little dancers to still have class and even a winter showcase. Amazing job and bravo!

This is the second dance studio we've attended in VA Beach. My daughter is in the 3-5 year old ballet and tap class. I can't say enough good things about this studio. The teacher is so patient and an excellent teacher. My daughter loves going to class so much! She has learned quite a bit and dances so much at home. The owner is so professional and kind. If you want to start your child in dance at a young age, this is the place!
