Center of the Universe Brewing Company

This brewery is not far from our house and we have been many times. They have a parking lot as well as street parking. We have been there when they have had live music, food trucks and arts/crafts booths set up. Our most recent visit was for the release of the Bald Irishman red beer. It has a percentage of sales going to a charity. I am a fan of red/amber beer so this is the second or third year for us going. This brewery is a little off the beaten path but it is a nice place to go and have a beer. The staff are nice and service has always been good for us.

I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. I entered in the middle of a bingo round and mentioned to the guy at the bar that I wasn't familiar with their beer. I told him what I like and he suggested a 4 beer flight. He did let me taste several beers, after which I did get the 4 beers he recommended. They were all pretty tasty. I'd say the most interesting was the raspberry lemonade, which was really a beer. It's a fun place, with pinball machines, an outdoor area (although it was too cold to sit outside) and ample parking. I'd definitely stop in next time I'm in the area.

Have had their beer before, but have never been to the taproom. Beer was delicious as expected and the taproom was a blast! They have some old school and new school pin ball machines! They also had a food truck which served delicious pizza. We also stumbled in on bingo night and you get a bingo card with each beer or pizza purchased! Lots of seating and a friendly staff.

Saw an ad advertising a bake sale on the weekend one day here - so we drove a bit out of the way to give it a shot. Cool looking spot with a lot of fun activities for their patrons - between pinball machines, video games, board games, etc. However, their beer didn't really stand out to us - I couldn't even tell you what I got :( their outside area is super cute though, and the parking is great! Super family-friendly it seems, and I appreciate how open and large the seating area is. Definitely a different vibe than the other RVA breweries I've been to!

The parking is decent...they have a decent parking lot but I can't imagine it super super busy. The bartenders are amazing and super helpful when you don't know what you want!I had food from a food truck and that was great. The beers are great and they have a bunch of boardgames around the place. Super fun

Chocolate Fest - need to stop by when it isn't slammed. the chocolate stout flight was good, but most of them appeared to be the same beer with some flavoring added, rather than beers designed from the ground up. service was prompt, though they got overwhelmed soon after - ymmv. had their beer before and enjoyed it, so looking forward to hanging out in their roomy tasting room without the crowds sometime.

It was ok. Good beer, customer service lacking. Bartender sent a patron out to tell everyone it was last call at 8:40. Outdoor area cool, band was good.

FINALLY got a chance to check out this facility. For the number of times I pass it on 64, I should have a seat at the bar by now.I didn't know what to expect since all I knew for the longest time was that I love their beers. The facility is very simple but tasteful. There are some places to goof off, play games, or just chill.Must be one of those things where you build it up in your head so much that the actual "thing" can never meet the mark. While have no real complaints or issues, it was just cool. If you have time to stop by it's cool but idk if it's a thing to go well out of your way to do so. Great dog friendly patio for a friend meet up, water bowls for the pups is a welcome touch.

Service provided was good, ambiance great. Food truck provided great food. We will definitely visit again.
