Everything we wanted: a step into the 18th century; authentic charm; welcoming host; polite guests; delicious, satisfying breakfast; parked the car for two days; walk to Merchant Square; siting of W&M graduates in gowns (for photos only). All in All - Cedars of Williamsburg made a two day visit wonderful. Every American, or visitor to the United States should see this town and experience what lit the fire in 13 British Colonies - Take children and return as adults - so you can really understand it. Thank you, Alex and Team, we'll be back.Ann & Rick, Columbus, OH & Seattle, WAKing William Room

My sister booked this place because it was close to Williamsburg's Merchant Square, and just a few miles from Great Wolf Lodge where my nephew was staying on an overnight field trip with his class. It's located a few blocks from historic Merchants Square and across the street from the College of William and Mary. It's a great place to stay if you're exploring Colonial Williamsburg or visiting someone affiliated with the college. We stayed one night in their George Washington suite which has a queen and a twin bed (separated by a wall). The bathroom is really tiny and the shower a little weird. The shower stall is very narrow and because the shower head is too high, you can't adjust it. You have to stand against the wall in order to shower. Not great. The place was quiet and the bed quite comfortable. We missed breakfast (8-9 am) as we got up late. My sister and I are both night owls, so I stayed late reading and didn't get up early enough for breakfast. If they have a room with a bigger bathroom, I'd consider staying here again.

Booked the William Lee room during the Christmas holiday and it was an experience we'll never forget. Upon arrival, Mary greeted us and gave a quick tour. The next morning (Christmas), she was joined by Leroy and served breakfast and gave all the guests the history of the house and Williamsburg facts. It would be easy to be grumpy to have to work on Christmas, but this definitely wasn't the case. Alex the owner served us breakfast the next morning and was extremely personable. It was sad we had to leave after only two nights, but he told us some of the better times to visit again. Can't wait!

Quite possibly the nicest bed and breakfast that I've seen on the East Coast, but certainly in Virginia. Elegantly appointed, friendly staff, clean and well maintained, the entire experience is a delight. And, it's literally directly across the street from William and Mary!

Excellent!!! We just finished our four day stay here and if I could give 10 stars I would. Alex our host was incredible. The daily breakfast was the best. I don't usually finish all my food but here I did. Our room was the perfect size for us. The cedars is close to everything. Great location. A definite must stay while in Williamsburg. You won't be disappointed.

We're on our third day here and winding down to the end of a two week vacation. I'm so happy we chose The Cedars of Williamsburg for the finale. Super quaint and comfy, comfortable and warm. Alex the owner greets you every morning and serves you a delicous hot breakfast made from scratch. Some of the best I've had. Its central location makes access to Colonial Williamsburg , Jamestown and Yorktown a breeze! And Alex is super knowlegeable about all the local attractions. Stoked on Cedars Of Williamsburg give it a shot you will be to!!!

We stayed again at the Cedars. It is consistently excellent! Very clean! We were sorry to miss breakfast because we needed to leave early. The owner kindly gave us some delicious chocolate chip muffins to eat on our trip!

Alex was a wonderful host! He helped me pull a simple wedding together with just over a two week notice. I loved this lovely B&B with its rich history. My daughter and her new husband raved over breakfast and felt like the stay was quite luxurious. I would highly recommend!

The Inn keeper, Alex was very pleasant, greeted us and gave us a tour. The location is great. The room was comfortable and in need of some care. The breakfast was a simple quiche with store bought crust and a small side salad. There was nothing unpleasant just nothing extraordinary. We have been to many bed & breakfasts so we have a good baseline. I see many 5-star ratings, to be fair, perhaps they don't have experiences to compare. As I was not wowed, I did not take any photos to share. I do hope you find this helpful.
