This is my second time having a meal at The Cavalier. This time around was a bit more welcoming. Staff were very nice, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be working that day.FoodI ordered a Caesar salad with a crab cake on top, a side of fries and a glass of Riesling. My team ordered various items, and from my POV, everyone was happy with what they selected. ServiceThe server tending to our room was very nice and polite as he attempted to serve us while we were still having our meeting. He wasn't quiet and attentive to each persons order. Ambiance We had a 2024 Planning Meeting for work, and had lunch midway through. We had a private room, and were only interrupted for lunchtime. The room was spacious and bright over looking the marina.

I know a certain server has a problem with Cooper, but I have to say he is the kindest and most helpful server I have ever had! 5 stars, all for Cooper!

We had a company meeting here and it was pretty stellar! Only downside is the room/hall we were in was down below. BUT I know it's cause we had a big group... everything else was awesome. Breakfast buffet was delicious and even had gluten free options (if I remember correctly). The staff were friendly, eager to assist, and a good time to chat with. The VIEW outside was phenomenal. I think it's pretty hard to be in a bad mood with a view like that, especially with a mimosa in hand! I don't personally drink Bloody Mary's, but everyone who did loved them. Kudos!

COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE!!!! This place is dirty all around. My car got keyed. Security is definitely an issue here, along with all the bugs. Kids run around barefoot screaming!!!! This place has ZERO class. Melissa our server tried to flirt with me in front of my wife. That's not okay. For $20,000 joining fee and $700ish a month fee, I expect the best. What you get at the Cavalier is like a Myrtle Beach Dave & Busters. The owners need to fire Jackie and get some professionals who understand the business. Jackie and her untalented gossipy Motley Crue need to be in the unemployment line and not robbing the good folks of VA beach blind. I will only go back when the owners see the light and get new people running the show. Until then, they need to at least get all the exterminators in VA beach to work together to fix this infestation of cockroaches. I don't know how the health inspectors let this place pass. Jackie called the COCKROACHES "waterbugs." Either way you slice it, the landfill is cleaner than The Cavalier. Yelp should have negative star ratings. The Cavalier would get a negative 10 from me.

This was my first time at the Cavalier and I was darn impressed. I am not a member of this club and was a guest for an event. This review is for the pool only.Getting to the club is a cinch. Make your turn off Laskin on Cardinal Rd. The beautiful Birdneck Point neighborhood is well marked where you enter. The two mile, or so drive through the residential area to the Cavalier was very nice. Tall pines afforded shade to the area homes and golf course. The speed limit is 20 mph due to golf cart traffic. When I traveled down Cardinal Rd. it was in conjunction with several golf carts. The pool is on the left by the tennis courts. The main club is further down on the right. There is plenty of parking all around the pool. Upon exiting the car everything appeared top notch and well maintained. It was a gorgeous evening for my event event around the pool.Everything about the pool and deck was sweet. Lots of wide deck space with chairs and tables. A ping pong table poolside is a nice touch for a little recreation outside of the pool. There is also a small baby pool that is approximately one foot.Let's talk about this fantastic main pool. The water was sparkling blue and inviting to jump in on a warm night. It's rectangular in shape with no bump outs. Two one meter spring boards for diving are side by side at the deep end. For competition it's a six lane 25 meter course.Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club has a swim team that compete in the Virginia Beach Swim League Porpoise Division and swims as the "Sharks". I met the Head Coach of the team Dalton who is also the pools aquatic director. He was a nice young kid finishing up his undergrad work.I cannot comment on anything other than the pool, but most certainly the entire property has beautifully manicured grounds. I am unsure if I will be coming back here this Summer, but I would love to be invited back.

I came here with a friend who's a member, let me start off by saying, SIT OUTSIDE! The view of the water is amazing while you're dining al fresco. I ended up getting their lunch special which was a steak sandwich and fries. Very good, a little on the spicy side, which for me isn't always a good thing, but it was very tasty. Oh, the highlight of this meal was definitely the truffle fries. You have to get them! I swear I could have eaten 4 servings of them, easily. It definitely has that country club feel, but not super stuffy. The service was on point and they were checking on us without making us feel like they were hovering. I look forward to eating here again with my friend and trying out some of items they have on their permanent menu. Now, to talk her into bringing me here more often!

Michelle's review was from last year but she is absolutely spot on! I attended a private party in one of the upstairs banquet rooms for 30+ guests on Sunday. This was a beautifully decorated room, with a very warm atmosphere. The windows looked out onto the marina. The food was very good, and the service was top notch. From the moment we were met at reception until we all got upstairs the staff was helpful and courteous. We all had a great time. If your looking for a place to host a family gathering or even to have a business meeting I recommend Cavalier Golf & Yacht Club!

The Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club is a lovely venue for any kind of special event. I've attended a company holiday party with 500 guests at the club, as well as a wedding shower for 35 guests. I've also attended a business conference at Cavalier. The club is located on Linkhorn Bay and each room has lots of windows with beautiful views. There is also space outside on the green, ideal for hosting weddings or cocktail parties. I know a couple who got married on the golf course and their photos with all the scenery were amazing. The catering is really top notch as well. The servers are very attentive and the food is always nicely done and delicious.

i volunteered at a fundraiser here this past weekend. It's a pretty impressive venue and there were no complaints in the food and beverage department. Good canapes as well as filet mignon or pasta primavera for entrees. Also, the catering team only stocked premium liquors and wine, which I guess is a must when you have to get a bunch of rich white people lubricated enough to start giving away their money. They have that process down to a science.

If you can get here, this place has at all. Great food, friendly service, a golf course, a marina and yacht club, a tennis club and a full on pool area. This is your one stop for all your fun needs. Loved the golf course which is short by yardage but very demanding of accuracy. The greens were in spectacular tournament shape. I love this place and would definitely come back.
