Oh my, their beef brisket is almost sinful. No knife required. You don't even need the BBQ sauce they give you. I've never eaten inside so I can't speak to that. Pay cash if you can. And tip, all tips go directly to staff. They support police and EMS too. This is true, flavorful BBQ, the pork BBQ is great but I always get the brisket cause I'm salivating just writing this review.

We are BIG fans of this place! We come here every time we are in NC! Nice and close to our favorite Christmas shop. We love the chicken and sweet potatos! Mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Barbecue is good, atmosphere is great. Simple, local BBQ joint that is the essence of southern BBQ.

It was all good. I really like the hush puppies!! We were in and out in around fifteen minutes. We ordered our food to go.

Bottom Line: Excellent Eastern North Carolina style barbecue and a charming front porch for a dining room.I'd been wanting to try this barbecue spot in Manteo for a very long time. I'd attempted to visit previously but either it was closed or overwhelmingly busy. On one of the hottest days of August I finally visited Carolina Bar-B-Que for lunch and it was a great experience even with it being so hot.I had a pork BBQ sandwich with coleslaw and this was some of the best if not the best Eastern Style barbecue I've had! My husband and I also shared hand cut sides, macaroni and cheese and hush puppies. The hand cut fries were very good. For drinks they have a Pepsi soda fountain, iced tea and some bottled beverages. They have Cheerwine on fountain which is fun.The dining room at Carolina Bar-B-Cue Company is a quaint screened in front porch with plenty of ceiling fans. We visited on one of the hottest days of the summer so it was a bit warm but totally worth it.

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch today and the food was absolutely delicious. It's a small hole in the wall place that has so much character once you walk in the door. The service was quick and the food came out hot and quick.

So good! I loved everything on my pig plate. I will definitely be back for more. The bros were nice the food was good. What else do you need?

I love this place, always a go to for barbecue. The service was fast and the food was amazing.My favorite barbecue places in the outer banks. They have fresh cut fries there and are super good too.

The food wasn't good. Ribs tough and chewy. Onion rings too greasy.....The service was great.

Came on a recommendation. Overall impression was meh on everything. Food wasn't worth the lack luster service or back porch atmosphere. Won't come back.
