Cheeseheads do fishtails! What an experience you can expect. Don't bring bananas! That was as bad as dressing like a Bears fan at Lambeau! So sorry!Mate James had stories to spare! Dude moves like an eel! Everywhere at once.

We had a fantastic time. Captain Chandler Hogg got us to the fish quick. Then First Mate, Brett kept up with our bait and catches. We limited out in both Spade and Mackeral. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone looking to book.They even cleaned the fish. Great time and experience!!

This was ABSOLUTELY the best one day family event we have ever had. I've been on fishing charters before and knew what to expect however the crew on the Smoking Gun II was exceptional!! It all started with Captain Brett meeting us in the parking lot followed by introducing us to his 1st mate, Tim. I can not say enough in this review about both of them. Tim went above and beyond making this a fishing experience that no one in our group will ever forget. He worked for 8 hours non stop from the time we boarded until the end helping us remove our personal belongings off the boat. Their knowledge of fish and their habitat is unbelievable, they were able to tell the species from they way the fish were fighting. They made this an unbelievable day of fishing!!We ended up with 6 citation fish in 2 different categories and in reality every fish we caught that day would have been a citation. The boat was comfortable and had all the the amenities that we needed for a day on the water. Our family had such a great experience that we will definitely be joining them again for our next trip out in the fall of 2020. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended! That says a ton about the crew because I don't highly recommend something in less it was exceptional or incredible service.

We had a great time fishing with Captain Hogg last summer. After a good haul of spadefish we also landed a cobia. The boat is comfortable and the crew worked hard to show our charter a good time.

This was a excellent experience. The captain and mate were helpful and engaging. I would give high recommendations for anyone considering a charter to use this service.

Several issues, emailed several times to schedule a charter. Never received a reply to my emails. Then called in May and scheduled a charter for church group. Late June called to learn the departure time and was told that the charter would be leaving from Va. Beach instead of Hampton (Had made the charter with Capt. Hogg due to the number he could carry on boat and leaving out of Hampton. Arrived this morning to find out that he was not going out of Va. Beach but in Hampton. We had to scramble from Va. beach to Hampton. Capt. Hogg did wait for us and we departed 1 hour late. He stated he did not say he told be that we would be going out of Va. Beach and that I must have called another captain. However, my daughter heard the conversation (speaker phone) and after checking my outgoing phone calls, the only area code 757 that I called during that time was Capt. Hogg. On a good point, we did catch some fish and had a good time.

Had a truly great time out - they did a great job keeping us on the fish, landed some beautiful drum, lots of bluefish, and some trout. Very little down time - they had a good plan and good backup plans! Both captain and mate were professional, friendly, helpful, and patient with folks that don't do a lot of this sort of fishing. Boat was large and clean and had nice sitting room in the cabin for folks who needed some shade or a break. I'm looking forward to going out with these folks again!

The trip was perfect! I highly recommend to anyone who loves fishing. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Kid friendly atmosphere as well. Looking forward to fishing in the future with the fishing crew.
