The decent thing they had was french fries. Thats it i think i got the fish catch not sure.

Came to Captain Bob's for a late lunch on a Friday and found the place mostly empty. The only other patrons who were there were enjoying the buffet but there was steady to-go business.The interior of the restaurant is loaded with ocean and sea items, as you'd expect. The tables and chairs are a mishmash mostly consisting of, what I'd call, banquet chairs. Mine had a pretty big rip in it and a mighty wobble that must have meant to make me feel like I was on a boat.The server took my order. I got a hot dog and fries and asked if they could put their pimento cheese on the hot dog (if you haven't tried it, you should!). The server said she would have to ask and I said that I was happy to pay extra if needed. What came next was so odd. I could hear the entire conversation from the kitchen.Server: This guy wants to know if we can put pimento cheese on a hot dog.Cook: What? That's weird.Server: Yea, but that's what he wants.Cook:.....No. Tell him we don't have any.Server: Ok.So the server came back to my table and said they didn't have any. So I just got ketchup and mustard. The dog was fine. The fries were under-seasoned. Really, after hearing that convo, I was just ready to leave.The sign out front says that "There's only two places to eat..Home and Captain Bob's..." well I can put pimento cheese on my hot dogs at home so I don't need to return to Captain Bob's.

Visited Sunday morning for the breakfast buffet along with two coffees. The main dining hall was 40% full with plenty of staff.Food was pretty standard, not bad but not outstanding. Decent selection of choices including some pastries not shown.They have a full breakfast menu if you don't want to do the buffet.Cheers!

Comfort food!! If you're looking for something familiar to scratch a comfort food itch in a convenient location, this is such a great place for that. I will be going back whenever I am craving fried catfish since it is close and it tastes great. Service is also pretty good.One star taken off because the interior feels a bit dated, so I likely will only be ordering out. Still very worth it.

We had passed by a few times and always wanted to try it. We were not disappointed! The food was delicious (I had the Pick 2 with blackened tuna and a crab cake, my husband had the chopped barbecue plate). It was SO MUCH FOOD! The servers were all very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

I love the bbq but I feel like they used to have better hush puppies. I would keep coming back. My wife is sitting next to me texting my daughter , she called me a fatty. Does anyone know of a good abused spouse shelter. She almost ran over my foot in her car earlier, and that's why I gave this review.

My kind of place! We visited a relative in the area and had lunch at Captain Bob's. Wonderful pork barbecue, but the chicken was outstanding! All of our sides were good and the employees were friendly. We will come here again when we're in the area.

Great breakfast spot (even though the sign doesn't mention breakfast). Very friendly, helpful staff. Leah, our server, was great! Eggs, sausage link, bacon, pancakes (or French toast) and hashbrowns, ($8.99 as of June 2024). Kitchen was a tad slow, but there was a large group ahead of us.
