Just a fantastic time staying here. My wife & I came here for our 30th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful experience! Chris and Abbie were great. The food was delicious! Our room was so very comfortable. The house is a 100 year old Arts & Crafts style bungalow which was a joy for us as we love that style. I asked for the Romance package which my wife absolutely loved, so well worth it. Incredibly convenient to walk to all of downtown Manteo. A quick drive to Nags Head & the rest of the beaches. Basnight's is a great choice for dinner! I can't say enough good things, even Jack the cat was sweet and friendly! We'll be back!!

Spent two nights here in the Fall of 2012. Stayed in the Featherstone room on the second level. Cozy room with a gas fireplace and large full bath. The inn was beautifully decorated and conveniently located to downtown Manteo. This was our first B&B experience so I wasn't sure what to expect. The innkeepers were very friendly and welcoming. Our favorite feature of the house was the back porch with a fully stocked fireplace. My wife also loved the array of cats that live at the inn (outside cats).Breakfast was served at 8am and was delicious both days. Day 1 featured quiches, bacon, home fries, fruit, yogurt, and biscuits & gravy. Day 2 featured sausage links, fruit, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, and grits. Coffee, hot tea, water, and sodas were available at no extra charge 24/7.Overall we loved our stay. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Manteo as you are literally 2-3 blocks from virtually everything downtown. My only negative is that the bed wasn't the best but by no means the worst.

I booked a room here for July 2019 through Hotels.com. We then found out that we had a few more people coming and the room would be too small. Canceled the very next day through Hotels.com. I received confirmation that room was canceled and refund would be processed. Waited and no refund. Called Cameron House and was told this would be processed. Days later no response and no refund. Contacted them again saying still no refund. Told manager is contacting her "financial person" and owner because apparently they cannot figure out how to issue refund. It is now almost 3 weeks! On top of that manager sends me a very nasty email saying nothing will make me happy. Not true! I gave you over 2 weeks to issue refund and waited patiently. The only response I have had is a nasty email and I'm still out almost 300 for one night! I finally had to call my credit card company and they are handling this. Do not give this place your credit card!!! Unbelievable!

I specifically joined Yelp and chose to write a review about the Cameron House Inn because there was only the one previous bad review. My fiance and I just returned from a mini summer vacation in the Outer Banks and stayed 3 nights at the Cameron House Inn. The Inn was beautiful, welcoming, and very relaxing. We chose Cameron House because we wanted to be away from all of the crowds during the July 4th week in the Outer Banks. Breakfast each morning included biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, cereal, and bagels. Coffee and tea were always available, as well as a mini fridge stocked with bottled water and soda. Cookies and cakes would also randomly appear either in the kitchen or the large living room each day for guests to enjoy whenever they wanted. We also stayed in the Mirabella Room (like the previous reviewer) and were very pleased with the choice. The room was spacious and comfortable and the perfect place to return to each evening after a full day of sightseeing and enjoying the beaches. The curtained canopy bed was romantic and comfortable, and there was even a separate TV room with 2 sofas. Although it rained the first day we were there, there were no leaks in our room, and the AC worked fine throughout our stay. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they provided good suggestions for places to eat and things to see, as well as a great recommendation for which beach to visit to avoid the crowds. We loved our trip to the Outer Banks and will definitely be returning to the Cameron House Inn. If you're unsure about the Cameron House, I suggest checking out the numerous positive reviews for the Inn at Trip Advisor.

My wife and I were married only two days ago, and have spent the first part of our honeymoon at the Cameron House. We could not be happier with our decision. The house is located in a very charming, historic neighborhood, near small shops and restaurants along the Manteo waterfront. We stayed in the Mirabella suite, which is particularly lovely, though that may also be easily said of the entire house. There is a large porch in the back and the front, and bicycles available for use. Cannot recommend more highly.

The Cameron House Inn is probably our Favorite B&B of the six of so we've visited over years. The staff is thoughtful and accommodating, the breakfasts are sumptuous and the thoughtful amenities are top class. For example, homemade sweets are available each afternoon, cold drinks are always available the kitchen, and a fire is laid on the patio ready for you each evening in the fall. Please be sure to spend a few days in this wonderful

We seldom rate a property that is so good that we will return. This is one of those few places. This is primarily because of the presence of Chris, a dynamo always with a smile, good information, 7 am coffee cookies, cakes and breakfast and a lot more, I suspect, than we know. The inn itself is very homey, and comfortable. Do yourself a favor and stay here when you are in the area.

Great place to stay. We stayed one night. Excellent location a few blocks from the harbor. Plenty of on-street parking a few steps from the front door. The exterior is a little tired looking, but the interior is well-appointed. There is a large but cozy living room/dining room which is accessible 24/7, as is the adjacent kitchen. The guest room in which we stayed (the Creef room, named after the gentleman who built the house) was nicely decorated, very clean, and had a comfortable bed. The attached private bathroom was also spotless. There were homemade cookies in the living room when we got in, and shortly after our late afternoon arrival, a yummy home-baked double chocolate cake showed up in the kitchen. The breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly and clearly interested in making sure we had a great time.

My husband and I spent a weekend there in late December while attending friend's wedding. The overall impression was "OK - but nothing to write home about". I'll start with positives:- The common room is really cute. It has a comfy leather sofa and a fire place- The place is conveniently located on the main street of Manteo- The staff/owners are extremely friendly, and will generally try to help- The place is cleanNow, the negatives:- The breakfast is really miserable. It's a self service breakfast, with cold old bagels, 1 spinach/mushroom quiche that they served both mornings, also, they had these cinnamon roles (purchased probably at Giant) that they also served both mornings- The heating in our room stopped working the second night we were there so we FROZE to death. As you can imagine it was extremely unpleasant- Our room was on the second floor (Mirabela) and since it was raining all day, as we returned to our room at night the roof started leaking. I actually had to place a bucket to catch the water. Needless to say, the owners did not even offer to lower the price, or compensate us in any way. They did apologize, but that really does not do us any good. We are definitely not going back to that place. If you are planning on staying there, dress warm and be prepared for lovely rain drop sounds that will keep you up all night.
