Cafe By The Bay

We were in town for a Chrismas getaway. We showed up 5 minutes before closing and asked if we could get some food. The lady working said absolutely. She made our food and drinks and stayed 15 minutes past closing. The food was great and the coffees were good as well. Great staff and food.

Great place for morning coffee. Seems like all the locals gather in the morning to discuss the state of the world and other weighty matters. Food is good as well.

Fabulous sandwiches and smoothies. Splendid menu. Friendly staff. Everything about this place is spot on! Highly recommend.

Great little cafe with consistent food and great service! Breakfast sandwiches, great coffee and tea choices, and they even offer a $5 bag lunch special daily!There is very limited seating, we usually get our food to go. If the weather is nice and you're lucky, however, you can can grab a seat on the front porch and enjoy the lovely VA summer humidity!

Good food, great people! This little house of deliciousness will fill your tummy and warm your heart. The people are nice and the food is made with pride. Everything is fresh and the place is very clean. If Virginia is for lovers, then CBTB is for lovers of lunch! I had the Turkey Reuben Panini yesterday and the Club Sandwich today...both were sensational.

Stopped in for a mocha and a breakfast wrap. The young lady who took my order was properly masked but while I waited a second employee arrived and wandered around the place with her mask below her chin. This is not a way to keep customers safe. Ironically I had come to Deltaville to go to Hurd's amazing hardware, gift apparel store and it was closed with a sign on the door that they had become aware that a customer had tested positive for COVID and were closing and deep cleaning as a precaution.

Overall, decent experience. Food was ok, staff is very friendly.For the quality of the food, wait was very long.And anytime I see a microwave in use in the kitchen, kind of a red flag.Luckily for them, not a lot of breakfast options in Deltaville.I'll be back at some point.

God food and friendly service. Definitely a nice spot for a quick to go lunch. The building is old but quaint.
