The Most Scrumptious Wineries in Virginia Beach

Driving by with a friend and spur of the moment we turned into the parking lot. It was Saturday but middle of the afternoon so it was pretty empty. I did love the inside. Nicely decorated. We sat at the bar and each got a flight and shared an appetizer. Josh took great care of us. He was personable and knowledgeable. I loved how the wine flights are served. I got all white and my friend got red and white. We enjoyed both. We decided to try the tuna appetizer and it was very good. A little pricy but everything is a little pricy these days. :( The tuna was served with rice, seaweed salad and pickled onions. Everything was very good and fresh. The sauce was spicy and packed a punch. Loved it. I would love to come back with friends but I could see that getting very expensive, very quickly.

Amazing date night location! Locally veteran owned business that impressed me from the moment we stepped in the door. We enjoyed a pick your own wine flight and two of their entrees. The staff is very knowledgeable and explains how the wine is made at the winery. Amazing wine from all over the country and the food was delicious too. This is the perfect location if you want to try something different in the Norfolk area!

We love Gabriel Archer Tavern at Williamsburg Winery. It has such a local feel, and the food is excellent!The tavern is located in its own building, and it feels like a cross between a tavern and a comfy local restaurant with enclosed porch dining as well as tables outside during the winter months. They have an eclectic menus that offer salads, sandwiches, seafood, a burger, and quiche, among other options. My regular favorite is the Turkey and Brie sandwich with apple slices and lingonberry sauce. It comes with a side salad. Delicious!Friends had the fettuccine, the mussels, and the quiche. All were terrific!! In the past, we had the charcuterie board, which was a fun appetizer for four of us to nibble on. We paired our meals with wine selections. They offer flights too if you'd like to try different wines with your meal. Service a friendly and efficient. Parking is free and located near the restaurant in the winery property.

So excited to have such a good brewery so close to me! Beers and service are always fantastic. They have different style seating options like comfy leather chairs, high and low tables and even outdoor seating. Small food menu but everything we've had has been delicious. This is one of our new favorites.
