"Casa Pearl is a gem or should I say pearl in Williamsburg! My Yelp bestie and I popped in on a Friday night and it was bustling with activity! It's not the biggest restaurant, but they also have an outdoor patio. It is still chilly these days, so we opted to stay in, especially since the sun had gone down already.- Parking - Private lot. Since restaurant was busy, I can see issues finding a spot, so go early.They quickly found us a seat for two and we got to ordering! I was so excited since I love seafood.Ceviche - it was super refreshing and the avocado and watermelon radish was a great contrast in texture. This is served with taro root chips.Oysters - we ordered two of each variety they had on the menu that night, ranging from size and salinity. I love oysters, but I definitely did have a favorite in the 4 varieties. I should have asked which one it was, but it was a medium size and I could have downed a dozen of those! Po boy oyster and grilled fish tacos - Both very good! They come with corn tortillas, and a decent size. Key lime pie - so this is not the traditional pie. It's a deconstructed key lime pie, served in a little glass pot. It has a light graham cracker layer with the key lime cream and then the whipped cream piped into little bubbles at the top! "Party of 4 at 6:45 on a Wed night. Not busy at all, with plenty of seating..and parking, which we were concerned about. Lots of takeout happening! Bring a SWEATER, because all the furniture is metal, and it's a converted garage with roll-up glass doors. I imagine it's pretty great in nice weather when they roll them up. Great casual Mexi-beach vibe with really cool eclectic decor!Everything is made to order from what I could tell, so don't expect assembly line lickety split. Fast casual counter service with table delivery. We really enjoyed it! SIL was craving good fish tacos for his birthday, I quickly searched Yelp, and - BAM! - found Bro's , which is perfectly located near Lynnhaven Mall. Great reviews and couldn't wait to try!PROS: GREAT fish tacos, San Diego style! So fresh, and a nice menu variety. We all had similar items: fried Flounder ("Truth"), Mahi, and fried Pollock tacos, and a bowl of another of the fishes. Salsa for the chips and Dill Sauce for tacos were heavenly! I even loved the queso dip for chips, and I normally don't care for white queso. I mean, just darn delicious! Very friendly and helpful staff, patient with us noobs figuring out the menu. Hubby loved the nachos with shrimp, piled high and with a LOT of fresh jalapeños. Shrimp was cooked perfectly, but he's a meat guy and will definitely go for the beef next time. He got the Habanero sauce which was tasty, but way too spicy for me to finish a single covered chip. (The sign clearly says the heat is 7 of 10, and that's accurate.)Wherever they get the Apple Caramel Cheesecake, keep getting it from there! Holy moly delicious! CONS: I just didn't find my Mahi bowl flavorful at all. Even with the Dill sauce and a few squeezed lime wedges. Maybe also because it was grilled, and everything is better fried. ;-). HIGHLY recommend the tacos over bowls (rice is extra$ and comes in a separate bowl). The tacos are just better! Everyone in the party agreed on that. Rice was supposed to be cilantro lime, but I'm pretty sure it was just plain. Would really have appreciated the soda fountain to have ice. But it's more of an adult beverage kind of vibe, so I get it (photo). In all fairness, it was near closing by the time we finished, so maybe it wasn't the best time for a first visit. We really did love it, and it 100% hit the SoCal taco mail on the head. Will definitely go back and try more varieties!"

"Just a really great experience from beginning to end. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and patient. The drinks came quickly (the half-price happy hour crushes are a tremendous deal!), and the food also followed pretty quickly. The food! The presentation was great, the portions were ENORMOUS, and everything was absolutely delicious. I seriously cannot gush adequately about what an incredible value was the food. The loaded nachos must have had two pounds of beef on the plate! It was insane! Such a great value. We will DEFINITELY be back."

"We've heard raving reviews about No. 1 Tacos since they were still at the KFT location and are now in Buckner Blvd. We finally decided to try it; I felt we were missing out. We had ordered tacos, queso, chips, and fried plantains, and all the dishes were delicious. I loved the birria taco and the fried plantains the most. The fried plantains were served with dulce de leche, which reminded me of a Filipino snack called Banana Que. Other options are also available, such as rice bowls, burritos, birria ramen, and hotdogs. The salsa bar added some extra spice to our tacos as well.Their location reminds me of the taquerias in California. The prices are reasonable and affordable. The staff were amiable and pleasant. The only thing I wish they would change is their menu. I was so confused when I was reading it. I wasn't sure which meats to go with especially when ordering the street tacos. Next time, I will try their Al Pastor. No. 1 Tacos exceeded my expectations. We highly recommend this Mexican eatery."

I recommend the BBQ chicken tacos and make sure u add Cole slaw or at least get the slaw as a side... so good!Sanctuary is a local bar.. definitely gives neighborhood bar vibes. This is a small establishment but there is indoor and outdoor seating! The staff is super nice and attentive. There was a good mix of people here - all ages and race. Their enchiladas are really flavorful, their tortas (basically a melty sandwich) are to die for, the maduros are so sweet with the best dipping sauce, and their agua frescas are so refreshing (basically they're various infused juices). Their chips are well seasoned, and their queso is flavorful. Everything is much more authentic than what you'd normally find at an American Mexican restaurant.We've had both takeout and eaten in restaurant, and have been pleased every time. They're also open much later than most Sandston spots, which is great. Highly recommend!"
